Only royal people had been allowed to wear the accessory and people believed that the members of the imperial family are reliable and responsible. The members of that family were the ones ruling the country and everybody supposed that they were doing the best for the people and the nation. In the period between the ninth and the fifteenth century the crown had been kept in the royal families. It is believed that whenever a king had put the crown on their head they were becoming wiser, smarter, and stronger. The longer it was on their head the more intelligent and strong they were becoming. For example, in 967 A.D. there had been a war between Bulgaria and all the other Balkan countries. Theoretically there had been no chance to win the conflict, but King Peter the firstborn son of King Simeon had been thinking about a way to get out as a winner from the entire situation. Wearing the crown, he had realized that he should offer every emperor of the participating countries a deal – to send their best fighter against the best fighter from Bulgaria. If someone defeats the Bulgarian warrior they can split among themselves the entire Bulgarian territory, but if the Bulgarian wins against everyone there would be no war and the emperors would not protest for anything. King Peter had been confident to bet Bulgaria on that exact fighter because he had been so strong, that he could break a rock with one…

When I was in my late 20’s, Life was difficult. My husband was out the picture, and I was trying to raise my two small children while working a full time job and a part time trying to make ends meet. There was no one helping me. My parents taught me stealing was wrong, and it was against our family’s good morals. Still, if I had received the opportunity to own the ring of Gyges back then, along with every chance to keep my traits virtuous because there was no chance of repercussion or anyone knowing my activities, I would have stolen money in a heartbeat. The bottom line of Thrasymarchus’ argument is that justice is the advantage of the stronger. Socrates agrees that being just is advantageous. He continues to persuade Thrasymarchus, however, that justice is not only advantageous for the stronger, but for everyone. Glaucon refuses to accept Thrasymarchus’ capitulation to Socrates’ arguments. Glaucon’s view is that Socrates has only highlighted the positive consequences of being just and not the intrinsic value of justice itself. By Socrates’ logic, Glaucon argues, the only value of being just is the good reputation and rewards it leads to. If this were the case, people would soon realize that they should not want to be just, but to be believed to be just, Glaucon argues. What is justice, really, without reputation?…

The Eternal Knot looks like an unending knot that is inevitably connected. It also looks like an extremely unsolvable maze to the eye. It represents the balance between opposite dualities. It’s a symbol that hate is rode out with love, that lies are overcome by truth. It also symbolizes how arguments have two sides and that each person should see the other side of an argument in a new light. This leads to harmony, balance and a closer path to enlightenment. All the twists and turns in the knot symbolize the entanglement of all the beings on Earth. This magnifies the…
