Carpe Diem
There are times when we realize that things arent going our way, when things arent happening the way we planned it. Those times that will make us realize that we're not doing anything about it, not because it doesnt interest us, it's just because we tend to wait for the "right time" to come before doing something, not knowing that opportunities slip, a thing that even another lifetime couldnt bring back.

Sometimes it's the smallest decisions that can change your life forever, but it doesnt mean that when life serves you a simple one, you will just underanalyze things. When we decide we should always think on how will it be beneficial for us and for the people we care about.

Nobody's going to decide for us. It's our life, our call, our shot.

Games will be played, hearts will be broken, tears will fall, people will change and rumors will spread. But life will always go on. Life doesn't have a remote, get up and change it yourself. The future depends on what you do today. If you want something, you have to make things happen. and you have to start it now.

Its a lack of clarity that creates chaos and frustration. Those emotions are poison to any living goal. Take time everyday to think and weigh things. You have a choice. Choose positive, smiling, laughing. Life is too short for the alternative. Never be afraid to try something new because life gets boring when you stay within the limits of what you already knew.

Life is such a short span of time that we have to seize the opportunity that comes to us in the first hand. The habit of procrastinating things must be procrastinated. There is no promise for tomorrow offered by anyone. Nobody gives us that guarantee; so act fast. Do a good thing, and do it today. Time and tide will wait for no one and so act fast and act today and carpe diem is the golden rule.

For me Dan Lewis's view of "life being a smorgasbord" does apply. Life's is like a food buffet with many experiences, some you may like and some you may not but that's okay because you will try them all anyway. When you look at your life you should think of where you are now, where your going and your accomplishments. An example of my life beiong a smorgasbord is when my 7-year-old twin brothers were born. They had been through multiple heart surgeries, many months in Dayton Childrens and still to this day are fully functioning. They were born with chagre syndrom. You go to bed on eday thinking everything is okay, your life is on track and it'll all be thge same tommorrow, the next day and the day after that, but then you wake up and youre…

Then we might live life to the limit, every minute of every day... There are only so many tomorrows.”. Mortality is something that is very easy to forget in our day to day lives. If you waste the time that you have you don’t ever get it back. Time is a limited resource and one day you will die, so use your time and opportunities wisely. Wasting time in front of a TV watching shows that won’t make any difference on your life in a week isn't productive. Too many people put things off in life. They claim they will get it done next week or tomorrow, yet never accomplish these tasks. Constantly making up an excuses to push off things until a later date is the least productive tactic. You can't wait for the perfect moment in life, because there is no such thing. This moment is the only moment that you can control, so reach for it it and don’t let it slip away, because nothing is guaranteed.…

“There's nothing wrong with procrastination. Or is there? I'll leave it to you to decide, but only if you have the time.”- Craig Brown. Procrastinating plays a role in someone’s life. It is something that we all as humans try to overcome, but in reality, it is something that will impact us in some way, at any cost. Procrastination is a habit of putting off a task until a later time what could or should have been done at that time. It’s a tormenting weakness I’m struggling with and it’s keeping me back from being successful. It’s like an virus eating up my body infecting various parts of my life.…

Sometimes we behave like tools which don’t know what are they dealing with. We just do what we get used to do and have to do. It seems that we are made to do special things like robots. We every day drive the same ways to our work while we are loosing the beauty of trees or sunshine or mountain. Sometimes even our emotional roles in our life makes us forget the main reason of those roles. Like those mothers who just think how to raise their children while they don’t joy their children's smell or beauty of their smiles.…

When we decide to change the course of our lives due to unfavorable circumstances, we felt flooded with doubts, and also some feel melancholy. Even we tell to ourselves the Socratic paradox: "I know that I know nothing." And, although we may be sure of our decisions, we will not know what will happen. The answer will be in ourselves. As the proverb, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do." Our decisions are the result of our dedication and adaptation. In Miami I have managed to mark my…

So many people have ideas of things they want to do, whether they be business-related, something that scares them or even just asking someone else out on a date. Everyone has ideas about how they want to live their lives, but most people never wind up following through. They are so afraid of failure or of looking bad that they run from any kind of challenge. Then later in life, when they realize that they had all these opportunities and never took advantage of them, they regret it so much. A lot of people choose the easy way out in order to avoid challenges and barely ever choose to take the road less traveled just to see where it could take them. That is a risk that few people take because they never want the responsibility of having to work for something. Life can only be lived by those who work hard for their achievements and follow through on their ideas and goals. It is the people who never work for anything that are unhappy…

Sometimes people are unable to control the direction their lives take. This can be a hard concept to grasp, but one needs to understand that one cannot control every single detail or event in one’s life, and also cannot possibly predict what will happen in the future. As the writers said “Find the way to ‘get motivated’” (Moore, Baker, Packer,39). I think writers means that you should inspired yourself and find some reasons for yourself to do your work. In my perspective, we can tell ourselves some benefit if I can have done this work. For example, in my college life we also have lots of homework need to do, but most of time I do my homework before due time only few hours. Therefore, sometimes I cannot do my homework. If I can inspire myself do homework few days before due day, which I think I can get good job. Just like writers said when you feel you are procrastination, think about the benefit if you can finish work. You can get some motivation to do it.…

Looking to the future and being afraid of making the wrong choices, is a natural emotion that mostly all humans feel at least once in their lifetime. In the poem written by Karen Connelly, The Story, she brings to light the fear that us as humans feel when looking towards our future and hoping we do not mistakenly choose the wrong path. Connelly shows us in her poem that even with all the ‘scars’ from our past failed decisions, we are capable to move forward and continue living our lives. This piece of literature is a timeless poem, that anyone at all could relate to in one way or another. In some way everyone has been afraid of looking towards a goal we have set for ourselves, and contemplating whether or not we will make a wrong decision…
