Carly Fiorina Argumentative Essay
Honest. Inspiring. Bold. These are all words that remind people of Carly Fiorina. Carly Fiorina once said this inspirational statement about military men and women. “I would start by respecting and honoring by lifting up those brave men and women who serve us abroad and serve us at home, because we need their service and we should thank them every day.” The military is very personal to Carly because her father was in the army. Carly is an independent, strong, and a great Christian woman. Carly is independent because she survived cancer and she also dropped out of law school. Carly’s father said, “You won’t amount to much for the work you have put into school, Carly.” Carly proved her father wrong by being a success in the business world.

If I would to be a Hollywood producer and if I remade this for a 21st century speaker, I would use a celebrity person named Miranda Crosgrow cast as a speaker, and I would set the scene in San Diego, California. The reason why I would put it in San Diego, California, is because it is very nice there and there is a lot of people to be found there that can be useful for a lot of things. There are Celebrities there as well. It is just a good city overall since it’s in California anyways, where there is good weather, a good scenery is always good. The “Seven Ages of Man,” by William Shakespeare’s play I think that Miranda Crosgrow would be good as the speaker and I could compare her to this act of William Shakespeare’s scene. Miranda Crowgrow played…

of celebrities. Jess Cagle has written on these despicable people, frightening young innocent children, just to get a headline from it. The disdain Cagle has on these people is evident. “As a journalist, I'm embarrassed by the behavior of some paparazzi, these jerks who would frighten a kid to get rise out of her famous mom.” Although Cagle believes the issue has to come to an end, the First Amendment could potentially take a hit.…

In March 2015, Hilary Clinton came into the public limelight after she was exposed that she used a private email server for official communications. This happened when she was the United States Secretary of State. This was breaking the regulations since she was supposed to utilize the official state Department email accounts that are maintained on Federal government servers. She also deleted 32,000 emails that she claimed to be private (Dinan, 2015). By doing this, she defied State Department procedures and protocols and also the Federal legislation that govern the requirements for recordkeeping. Earlier this morning on ABC's "Good Morning America," Trump called the move a waste of time that won't "do the trick" when asked about Fiorina being a potential running mate for Cruz. “Frankly, he’s wasting his time because he won’t be the nominee,” Trump said. "If you'll remember we had so many — we had so many candidates ahead of us on that stage but she had the one good debate. She went up, then she dropped like a rock and never resonated with the people. So, I mean, Carly is not going to do the trick,"…

In The Story of an Hour by Kate Chopin, the idea that independence is something that many humans want to accomplish and maintain in their life is expressed. The reason for this is that achieving a life that is established purely on self-determination is a natural instinct for humans. Kate Chopin expresses this idea in The Story of an Hour through characterization, but more clearly through Louise Mallard. Mrs. Millard had just heard the news that a railroad accident has killed her husband by her sister Josephine and her husband’s friend Richards. She wept and stormed into her room after hearing the terrible news. There she sat in a chair and looked out the window. That was the moment were she had an epiphany that revealed that she had now gained independence.…

Even from the earliest points in his life, Bernie Sanders has been a powerful example of bravery. Born to Polish immigrants in 1941, Sanders was not blessed with prosperous childhood years, as he grew up in a cramped Brooklyn apartment. However, during these early years the future senator and now presidential candidate began to form an interest in the political world. In an interview with the Guardian newspaper, he proclaimed, “I saw unfairness. That was the major inspiration in my politics.” (bio) Being surrounded by economic and social disparity, Sanders decided to transcend and battle his way through the obstacles presented before him. During his time at the University of Chicago, he became an active leader in the Civil Rights movement, assisting in the organization of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. Reflecting on his call to action, the senator states,…

The candidates I have picked for comparison are Carly Fiorina and Donald Trump. Both are running as Republican’s in the 2017 presidential election. Both candidates are doing well in the polls. Fiorina is second in the polls right behind Trump at first. Fiorina is a former business CEO of Hewlett-Packard. Trump is a real estate developer, TV star and a successful businessman. Where both candidates are Republican’s they will agree on some topic but will differ in the way they agree and the way they would handle each issue that America in facing as of now in the 21st century.…

“However hard the incidents of war may be, the soldier who is called upon to offer and give his life for his country is the noblest development of mankind”(MacArthur.Duty, Honor, Country). With the symbolism of men and women serving under the same flag, it really brings hope and unity between both sexes, back then women never served in the army, but look at them now, it is historic to see a woman doing a man’s job. Men and women are no different, and Senator Barack Obama wants the people to see that, the only difference between both sexes is our features, but that doesn’t stop a woman from serving the country. As a country, we should always show respect and appreciation to those who serve our country. In our society, we barely even show our appreciation to those fighting for what’s right, Obama wants that to change he wants the American people to always appreciate those in combat. No matter what race, color,…

As of November 20, 2014, same –sex marriage has been legalized in 35 out of 50 U.S. states. Same-sex marriage is a hot topic which the Supreme Court is considering to legalize. Many people say a homosexual person is a sinner. The question is do homosexual people choose his or her gender? They were born that way and they are happy with their lives. Homosexual people are nothing unlike heterosexual people. They are living, they are working, and they contribute to society. Proponents state that same-sex couples should have access to the same marriage benefits and public acknowledgment enjoyed by heterosexual couples and that prohibiting gay marriage is unconstitutional discrimination. On the other side, opponents argue that altering the traditional definition of marriage as between a man and a woman will further weaken a threatened institution and that legalizing gay marriage is a slippery downhill way that may lead to polygamous and interspecies marriages (gaymarriage.procon.org). All people in the world should understand the meaning of marriage, whether a same-sex marriage or a traditional marriage. For that reason, same-sex marriage should be considered as a legal marriage because it is an equal right for humankind and beneficial for society as well as preventing youth suicide.…
