However, identifying, challenging, and altering these negative ideations may allow individuals to commit to the professional development process. The Career Thoughts Inventory (CTI) was developed to assist high school and college students in selecting a profession, field of study, or employment (Thrift, Ulloa-Heath, Reardon & Peterson, 2012). Additionally, the assessment is used to support employed adults looking to reenter the job market or change their career.     The article “Are You Deciding On Purpose” about the interview of author, speaker, and counselor Richard Leider really made me think about my life and what I want to do with myself.
