Karla Loza My career goal is to become an Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA). The reason I chose to consider this was, because I came upon reasoning with myself and whether I could imagine myself working in this career. I am curious of their daily work routine and how they help others. This is a good choice for me because I know I have the qualifications to achieve this career. I also imagine myself in their daily responsibilities of helping patients. The education requirements to become an AA include: I would need to complete high school. I will then go to college and receive a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. Next, I will take the Medical Co0llege Admission Test (MCAT) and apply to an Anesthesiologist Assisting program and complete the Master’s program. Ultimately, I will need to be certified and licensed by the state medical board. My academic goals for high school are to achieve a GPA of 3.5 or higher and graduate on the Honor Roll. My further academic goals would to apply to the University of West Georgia and receive a degree in Biology. I will take the MCAT and pass it to apply to South University to complete the AA program. I aspire to achieve good grades throughout my college years. The job responsibilities that AA’s have are to prepare equipment and make sure they function before any procedure is performed. They administer anesthesia and medicine to patients. AA’s also control anesthesia levels as well. AA’s can be hired in hospitals, private practices, and dental offices. My career goals range to work in a doctor’s office or a hospital. I have several reasons why I want to be working in the medical field. I find myself to be undecided on various job choices. I became interested in becoming an AA after reading an article describing the job and what’s expected. I had an experience in seeing my mother have an epidural and became amazed of how the AA eased my mother’s pain. Ultimately, my career goal is to become an Anesthesiologist

Self-awareness can help create a happy, balanced, and fulfilled existence on a personal and professional level. This can equate to success on both sides of the spectrum. HCS/449, Health Care Capstone has helped me understand this statistic more clearly and it will be etched in my psyche for years to come. All children are required to graduate high school, but pursuing higher education is only recommended. While high school curriculum is designed to prepare students for higher education, students learn essential career readiness skills while enrolling in higher education classes. Since students are not obliged to pursue higher education, many students who decide not to continue their education lack the skills necessary for future careers. While some schools hope to implement career readiness for either all their students or for only the students who do not wish to pursue college, other schools do not want to offer career readiness programs as they believe that it offers incentives for students not to attend college. Schools should require all students to take career readiness classes as…

My philosophy of Career and Technical Education revolves around a few basic principles. First, I believe that formal education is a necessity in the recipe for success. Gone I believe are the times where a student could drop out of high school and still find a rewarding modest paying career. Another belief of mine is that education should prepare people for specific jobs rather than just a broad field education. Having a highly skilled workforce is dependent on people being well-versed in their field. My third belief is that legislation has provided the foundations for Career and Technical Education and will continue to be influential in the future. Lastly, I believe that the explosion of technology over the last 20 years has helped Career and Technical Education grow and will continue to be a driving force going forward.…
