ABSTRACT

The main focus of this study is to develop and implement Allocation algorithm that will directly allocate vacant slot in the parking area. With this, the application of real parking environment will also be implemented via simulation through the use of Allocation algorithm. The use of the simulation will be capable of guiding the driver of where the slot is located in the parking lot. In the Parking Lot, either Parking Area A or Parking Area B, which both searched for vacant slot and thus indicated the use of Allocation algorithm. Once the driver had chosen where to park the car, the time of entry in the parking lot and also the plate number of the car will be taken by the operator and this will directly be saved in the database. Other than that, the group included other features of the system such as the parking payment, reports of income and list of cars that parked in both area. A series of testing procedures of the algorithm and implementation of the simulation was successfully developed and executed. The system was successful as the simulation of the parking lot adopts the uniqueness of Allocation algorithm. Thus, the application of Allocation algorithm in the Car Parking Slot Allocation System was capable of making the group’s project achieved their goals and objectives of the study.

Gratitude is defined as the positive emotion an individual feels when another person has deliberately given, or attempted to give, something of value (Bartlett, Condon, Cruz, Baumann & Desteno, 2012). Often gratitude is used as a positive psychological development tool to promote social support, reduce stress, depression and feelings of loneliness (Wood, Maltby, Gillett, Linley & Joseph, 2008). Loneliness is explained as an intense feeling of solitude creating an individual to display extreme emotions ranging from unexplained dread, desperation and restlessness (Peplau, 1955). Typically, loneliness exists when a person’s social networks are fewer than expected and less satisfying than that person desires (Peplau & Caldwell, 1978). Previous research looks at these…

And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude". I agree with Emerson, I too appreciate all the experiences in my life, the people I have met, and the things that I have accomplished. I am most grateful for family and friends. My parents have given me unconditional love and support my whole life, I am able to confide in them, and turn to them for advice. They have taught me honesty, generosity, open-mindedness, lifelong learning, how to balance work and life, perseverance, dedication, compassion, community involvement, organization, strategic planning, a love of nature, responsibility and of course, great dance moves. Each lesson came when it was most needed and I continue to learn from them every day. My parents are my greatest source of laughter and joy, there's never a dull moment in our house, I treasure their gift of humor. My friends are all very different, but together we share love and laughter, tough times and heartaches, we have been through so much together, and I cherish every…

We need to monitor the number of empty slots in the parking areas by setting up a sensor EN allocated in the ENTRANCE whereas the output of this sensor is HIGH (1) when there is a car entering the parking area. On the other hand, EX is allocated in the EXIT; the output of this sensor is HIGH (1) when there is a car leaving the parking areas. Hence, both of the sensors are connected to a sequential digital circuit for which we call it an up-down counter for which the circuit is used to count the number of cars entering and exiting the parking areas; the output of this circuit is connected to the 7-segments decoder to convert each BCD code to ten possible number from 0 to 9 in order display the number of empty slots available and to display the word FULL when there are no empty parking slots available as shown below:…
