Welcome family and friends. Today, I represent the graduating class of 2017. Today we take a step forward and move on from Middle School and transition to high school. It may be hard for some of us to let go, but in the end we have to move on. It was a great three years, but now…
This is a very important time of our lives, so I would like to start by thanking the people who have helped us reach this point. Firstly, I would like to thank my parents for being willing to make many sacrifices to allow me to attend such a wonderful school. It is because of their sacrifice and love that I have been able to receive a complete and well-rounded education that will help me have a successful future. Secondly, I would like to the the amazing teachers who have spent years preparing us for our future. You have such a hard job, and we rarely thank you for it, but thank you for pushing us and helping us reach our goals. Finally, I would like to thank my classmates…
Thank you for everything, Rebecca Hopkins Razavi. I think I speak for the entire cohort when I say it's been an honor to be with you this school year. You've helped us all greatly and we are forever grateful. I can truly see the growth of every single individual in this amazing group. We are all appreciative of how you helped us get to this point. We are extremely blessed to have opportunities/support systems like Hillman, and we should pay it forward at UMD. As Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story would say,"To infinity...and…
As my time at BHS comes to an end I have had time to reflect on my achievements and have found a new appreciation for the people in my life. Moving onto college, I will use the skills that I have learned from teachers, fellow students, friends and family.…
It was the beginning of my senior year, at Mission Bay high school, the last year of highschool for me and my friends to live out our lives before we move on to college and a whole new ball game. As I walk through the double doors leading into the crazy hallways of Mission Bay I spotted my friends all talking outside of our first hour class, Spanish III. I walk over to them and joined into the conversation of last years and legacies they wanted to leave on the students. My friends and I were the 100th graduating class to come from that high school, so everyone expected us to come up with something great to leave behind.…
Friends, fellow graduates, students, and teachers we are gathered here today to celebrate our graduation.…
I am not sure I could express into words how much I have grown and learned throughout this journey of my graduate degree with Capella. I had been wanting to go into this field for over 10 years, but didn’t have the opportunity to until a couple years ago. As soon as the opportunity came up, I dived right into it. Not knowing too much of the whole process of hours and requirements, all I knew was that I loved helping people and had a passion for it. I have been so fortunate to have the support of my family and more importantly my two beautiful girls. It has been a major sacrifice for them being a single parent going back to school. There has been many times that I rather no count that we couldn’t go do certain things because I had a paper to write. At first it didn’t matter to me to attend graduation, but seeing all the hard work that I have put into doing the best I could and the sacrifices they have made I want them to also join in the celebration because I am proud of them too.…
As I move onto the pathway to success, I hope to come back and revisit my memories. I will never fail to remember everyone that has made a difference in my life and will definitely make sure they know how much they mean to me. I am so thankful for the teachers helping me take 10 steps forward every day I attend class and inspiring me to do extravagant work. I respect their hard work and intentions to help every student…
I just wanted to take a minute to officially thank everyone who came out to my graduation over the weekend. When I first completed my initial degrees, I made a hard choice to not pursue medicine. I felt as if I failed myself and wasted time for a degree I would not use. I was worried my friends and family would feel the same, but it was the complete opposite. Their positive encouragement allowed me to gain confidence to go back to school for a degree I wanted. Even if some may not have been the happiest at the time, I still received support and love.…
Before I get started, I want to take a moment to thank some of the most loving and important people in my life: God - for showing me unconditional love, for putting great people in my life , and for blessing me to be standing before you all this very moment; My Family - for being by my side, loving me tenderly, and for keeping me on track; My Friends- for being there anytime and for reminding me that when life gives you lemons, make lemonade; My Teachers - for the long nights as if I worked a 9 to 5 job whenever you all were just preparing me for this huge place we call the world; My Class for making my years of high school memorable in which I will treasure forever; and lastly to the parents of these phenomenal graduates who have loved with no limits, sacrificed your last, encourage us every step of the way, and for being the real MVP knowing you all deserve more than just a round of applause.…
My journey at Sacramento State has been nothing less than spectacular. The courses I have taken have helped me discover myself. I believe I have enough knowledge to conduct a class all thanks to the courses I have taken at Sac State. I have also developed great relationships with fellow colleagues and professors that I will forever remember.…
With the date of my graduation steadily approaching it gives me the opportunity to really look back on all of my achievements throughout high school. There are so many I’m proud of. Starting my freshman year I began strong. I was a star student receiving nearly all A level grades in my courses. I was also an active member in Student Council and the arts. I was in the musical production of Cinderella and in Solo and Ensemble performance with my flute. Even at that young age I still understood the importance of giving back to the community and I volunteered my time at the Harley Davidson Fall Ride for the MDA. As I entered my Sophomore year I continued my strong passion for bettering myself and others. I was able to improve my academics by receiving…
We did it. Good morning. President Dottavio, Provost Murray, faculty, staff, family, friends, loved ones and fellow graduates. I am honored for the opportunity to address you because without your continued love and sacrifice we would not be here today. Today is not just about walking across a stage but demonstrating the fruition of all your support.…
Lastly, the final chapter in my story, for now, is my oldest sister going to college. She is attending Baldwin Wallace and is majoring in physical therapy. She chose BW because they offered her a scholarship for her grades. When my sister was home, we did not really get along until the summer before she left. There were so many changes in our life because of the loss of our grandpa, her graduation, her attending college, and traveling to the Dominican Republic for a mission trip to build homes. Her experiences on the mission trip helped me realize how much we are taught by attending St Paul High School and what I have been taught by my family. This is a defining moment in my life because her going away, strengthened my relationship with her.…
I really enjoyed my eighth grade year here, and it is all thanks to this campus. I have learned to accept that we are all moving on to high school, which is just another stage in life. High school will be the same, it will just have a different name. I look forward to meeting new people and seeing new faces as we mature. In the future, i am going to look back on this part of my life. I will remember the fantastic help I have received from this campus. When I receive my college diploma in my hand, I will remember how I got there and be so grateful for that. I wish more people could feel the way I feel about this school. I feel very lucky, honored, and again, grateful. If anyone ever asks for suggestions on where to go to school, my first answer will be SCCA. My success will reflect on the school when people ask how I became that. I will be very proud to say that I once got to be around such an outstanding group of people in the first place. Once again, I give thanks to everyone who has helped me get to where I am today. I wonder what I will learn in the future, but for now, I will focus on the…
