I was able to learn that I can. I can take high school and college classes together. I can manage a social life while at CSN. I can spend countless hours of doing homework and studying without freaking out. I had to have a new understanding of my self; I had to be an adult. The people at my college did not see me as a high school student many of them did not know I attended high school. I also learned about others and how to cooperate better with other individuals. I was able to see an array of different people, something I would not be aloud to experience at a normal high school. Through countless group projects, labs, and group oriented work I was able to out my self in other peoples shoes and see the situation from another perspective.
The day I got accepted into CSN high school led to two years of personal growth, intellectual advancement, a new understanding of others and myself, and college readiness. I was able to get ahead in my education compared to most students my age. I became ready for college and for a more mature environment. I had a time where I had to develop a new understanding for my self. I would have to act as an adult and be more mature with all the freedom the college environment offered. Luckily going to college wont be scary because I know what to expect and I have two years of

High school classes might have seemed better in the past compared to college. You might feel more comfortable in smaller classes than you would heading off to university, but that is simply from the comfort of your surroundings. You are familiar with your teachers and your closest friends are always by your side. This might create a friendlier environment, but branching away from the only things you have ever known will help you grow as an individual. Leaving home to start your life as an adult can be tough; however, learning every day responsibilities and making new relationships are two things that will benefit anyone who is getting ready to enter the “real world.” Students benefit more from college classes over high school classes because they learn responsibilities and create new relationships which help them to gain independence.…

High school challenged me, made me stronger, and taught to appreciate myself, despite others, and their opinions. My four year journey through high school either pushed me forward or held me back. I had many ups and downs, and plenty bad times outweighing the best times.…

Upon attending college for a semester and a half, I have found that I enjoy being a college student more than being a high school student. In the time that i have been in college, I have seen that more freedom is allowed to students in college than in high school. Such choices as the note taking, the environment, or class selection are a few examples of how college is less restrictive than high school. Because of the educational freedom and having more control over my education, I find being a college student more enjoyable than being a high school student.…

Knowing that getting a good education for their kids was their first goal encouraged me to work hard in school. Every minute I have spent at Science Park High I have appreciated because I know it is an enormous privilege to get such an excellent education from many insightful teachers. This will also apply to college. Although my siblings all went to high school, they did not go to college and I saw it break each one of their hearts. This will inevitably push me to reach for nothing but greatness in college, to give it me 100 percent and nothing less no matter how hard it…

I was awarded a wonderful education at Windham High School, but beyond the information I retained, I also learned what is important in life. At first, I thought all that mattered was the clothes you wore, what makeup you had on, and who you were friends with. There is more to life than all that. I love helping others and my induction into the National Honor Society allowed me to do just that, especially in my four service projects I had the opportunity to lead and be a part of. I try to please people and make sure they are always happy and I now know it is most important to give back to the community who gave me so much.…

It opened up another door for me because I got a extra year to figure out what I wanted to do after I graduated high school. I look at it now that maybe if I would’ve moved on with my original class I probably wouldn’t have done anything with my life or I wouldn’t have been prepared for the real world. After graduating high school a lot of people do not know what their next step in life will be. Some struggle between deciding to go straight into the workforce, joining the military, or continuing their education by going to college. The average person chooses college as their next step. A common issue about going to college is whether to go to a two-year college/community college or straight into a four-year university. I think community college is the smarter and better choice. People fail to realize that going to community college helps you save thousands of dollars. I am taking History 1302 to gain a thorough understanding of this nation's past, as history has always been one of my interests. My educational goals are to attend a four-year university after I graduate from high school, and there I hope to major in computer engineering. As I am still a high school junior (this is one of my dual credit classes), I do not have the most extensive educational background, but I have taken multiple honors courses in my years of study and have completed seven dual credit classes at NCTC to date. After I complete my education, I intend to work in the field of computer engineering due to my love for and fascination with modern technology. In my free time, I like to practice music by playing the alto saxophone as well…

Attending college is a major stepping stone towards a successful future, depending on what a person wants to do with their life. As we continue to grow older people eventually gain more responsibilities that will make life harder. For me personally, I now am now obligated to help my family financially so I am required to work more hours. Some days I would need to go from work to school, school to work or work from opening to closing. It makes completing my assignments and paying attention in class much more difficult. Typically, I would need to come to school early or stay late so I can finish my assignments because it is hard to do it at home. Whenever I go home it’s usually too loud since my niece is always there and I’m always tempted to…

Graduation is something many teenagers look forward to as a chance to begin a new chapter of their lives. I looked at it as an escape from hell. Even with the extra help I still failed a lot of my classes which resulted in me needing to attend summer school after my freshman year.…
