It services government agents and energy companies globally. On the surface CH2M Hill is engineering, however its really about solving problems to make life easier and better for everyone. Outsourcing functions are growing rapidly putting more demand on the global economy, CH2M Hill, a U.S. based company that is outsources because of their readily expertise. According to CH2M Hill, it is imperative that in the business world, individuals continue building skills and training so that the United States remains marketable in the future.

How does CH2M Hill address environmental uncertainty? CH2M Hill (2013) addresses environmental uncertainty, by adjusting their understanding of desired markets and understanding the local requirements and how they change. CH2M Hill relies on advisors in specific desired markets for information. According to CH2M Hill they tailor their strategies to the cultural and economic viability of potential customers in different cultures. CH2M Hill uses “competitive intelligence” in of areas in the world where cost of living and salaries are lower supporting work elsewhere and using the capital in other areas of business. (Bateman et al., p.54)
