I want to become a Merrimack Ambassador because I want to share the love I have for Merrimack with potential students. I specifically want the students to fall in love with Merrimack, just like I did. I believe that I am an outgoing individual, which I feel like is an important trait for an Ambassador because you need to be able to interact with the individuals who you are giving a tour. At the same time, I am also a little reserved which can also be essential when giving a tour because you need to be able to connect with all of the students and not scare them away. I also feel that I have a lot of school pride. School pride is essential when being an Ambassador because you are sharing your love for Merrimack with interested students. Finally,…

    1. When I think of what I can contribute to the university to community, I begin to look at what the university is all about. Florida A M University is all about warmth and acceptance. It’s all about driving students from all walks of life to perform to the best of their capabilities. There all about welcoming African American students and encouraging them to pursue greater heights. My only wish is that I will be given a chance to contribute even in the smallest of way, in helping the university keep its reputation and the prestige it deserves. Doing so is not an impossible task for I believe that simply being myself will be a contribution itself. I honestly believe that I am strong enough to face the multiple challenges that will come along the way as I pursue my…

First and foremost, I have given up much of my personal time to help my community. The past three summers I have volunteered for over eighty hours at St. Rita’s Medical Center here in Lima. For many, this may not sound like a lot but for a teenager to give up part of their summer to help others is a big deal. Volunteering not only takes the will to work but it also takes passion, compassion, and knowledge to follow through with the tasks given to you throughout the day. My eighty hours shows I have all three of these things. I have helped my school by being an excellent scholar and never giving it a horrendous name. I have achieved being an honor student throughout the past three years that I have attended BHS and have always shown pride when representing my school during numerous events. I am always willing to help my teachers when needed, they may be there to teach us but they are also there to learn from us in certain ways. My fellow classmates I do believe would say I am always willing to help them out when I am needed. I would like to organize volunteer time at our local soup kitchen and hospitals, numerous food and clothing drives, and also help with the annual blood drive. All of these things will help our community out in different ways, which will bring good to our fellow people.…

In this piece of art by Hans Holbein “Ambassadors” the color is very vibrant. Between two young men who seem to be very wealthy and educated, it seems to be a lot of globes, sundials, books and maps for education, learning, exploring or something of the sort, and along with the man of the left is holding a telescope. At the bottom of this painting seems to be a stretched skull, it looks as if it is trying to be blended in with the rug on the floor. Also there are a lot of patterns on the table cloth, rug, and backdrop.…

Throughout my high school career, I actively sought to be a part of the leadership programs at my school and beyond, by volunteering my summers to help with Wilderness Nature camp, working weekly at The Cat House, and volunteering around the community as often as I could. I was also a part of student council and NHS in school and was on the leadership teams of both organizations. For my school’s National Honor Society chapter, I was the Memorial Garden Chair, and planned many events to help improve the environment around my high school, from weekly clean ups to picking up trash all around the building to reduce the impact we had on our environment. I want to continue to do as much as I can to help improve the environment, and UNL’s overall…

I would be able to apply my communication skills and outgoing personality to the presentations that I would give to my peers. I also believe that I would be successful working with the freshmen because I have experience working with this demographic of students. I am a peer leader through First Year Experience and Retention Initiatives, so I get a chance to interact with the freshman students every day. The professor that I work with through this program has me develop presentations about academic resources for the class about once a week. I am also on the New Member Education Team in my…
