Buyer behaviour What is buyer behaviour ? The definition is “buyer behaviour is the define as activities people undertake when obtaining, consuming, and disposing of product and services.” It is Important to understand the buyer behaviour especially to the marketer, once the marketer understand the reason people purchase buy specific product or brand , it will help the marketer much easier in developing an strategies to influence the buyer.(Blackwell,R.D,etc 2006 pg4 )
There are three primary activity that include in the definition of consumer behavior :
Obtaining
“Obtaining refer to the activities leading up to and including the purchase or receipt of a product .” These activity have include the searching of information and evaluating the product and brand.
Consuming
“Consuming mean how, where, when, and under what circumstances consumers use products.”
Disposing
“Disposing refer to how consumer get rid of products and packaging”

Characteristics of buyer behaviour
The characteristics of buyer behavior are attitudes , motivation ,perception, culture and lifestyle .
Attitude
Every people have it own attitude, attitude is” a person consistently favorable or unfavorable evaluation ,feelings and tendencies toward an object or idea.” Attitude are hard to change , attitude can put a person mind either like it or dislike it . (marketing 6e pg206)

Motivation Motivation is “a need that is sufficiently pressing to direct the person to seek satisfaction of the need.” Perception “Perception is the process by which people select ,m organize and interpret information to form a meaningful picture of the world” Lifestyle “Lifestyle is a person’s pattern of living as expressed in his or her by activities, interests and opinion.”
Culture
“Culture is the set of the basic values, perception, wants, and behavior learned by a member of society from family and other important institutions.”( marketing 6e
