1.1 Describe any three schools of management thought. For each school of management thought describe its major contributions, and its Strengths and weaknesses.
1.2 Describe at least two different organisational structures. For the organisational compare their main design principles.
1.3 Identify minimum of two sources of power (both formal and informal), influence and authority within an organisation of your choice. For each explain how it impacts on the organisational structure and its effectiveness.
2. Compare and contrast traditional methods and current perspectives of the following three organisational processes: delegation, participation and decision making.
3. Identify the key principles for both vertical and horizontal coordination within an organisation. Examine both historical contribution and current relevance to the effective management of organisation.
2. Motivation
2.1 Describe any two content theories (schools) of motivation theory. For each state its application and evaluate its relevance to today’s organisation.
2.2 Describe any two process theories (schools) of motivation theory. For each state its application and evaluate its relevance to today’s organisations.
2.3 Describe two managerial approaches to motivation. Evaluate each approaches distinctive contribution to organisation.
2.4 Utilising a current person in management position (from organisation of your choosing) discuss their management style indicating both its positive and negative motivation aspects. Your analysis should draw on current theory and identify suggested implications for the organisation (in its management practices)
2.5. Describe the job design options for an organisation of your choice. For each of these options identify both the task characteristics, personal and work outcomes and implication for management. A minimum of two job design options must be discussed with all areas identifying a minimum of two aspects (characteristics etc.)

Give perks, give monetary benefits, performance rewards and employees are bound to be motivated – as simple as that.
