Dear Mr. Murphy,

I am writing you today to tell you my opinions of the show you created, Glee. I absolutely love this. Glee is my favorite show. I love how it presents the average life of a high school American and the whole synopsis of the show.
There are many reasons why I love this show. The first reason is the diversity of the show. I think it shows the American dream of being accepted for who you are and being not being afraid to show it. All the characters on the show are so different from each other, but then all the same. There are people from different races, religions, sexualities, social ranking, and dreams. I love how it shows that you can be anyone you want to be and can be anything you want to be. This show tells people that you can never fully be accepted for who you are if you don’t accept yourself first. There are still other reasons why this show is the best.
Another reason why I love this show is the music. I think that music is very important to America. 90% of teens listen to music nowadays. Music has been proven to help literature scores on testing and is very healthy for the human brain. It has also been proven that music can reduce depression, increase lung capacity, lower blood pressure, improve recovery from strokes, ease epilepsy’s, give pain relief, help Alzheimer’s, and give better immunity. Music is very essential to everyone. I took a survey of 15 people between the ages 12-21 of how many of them listen and watch Glee. 9 out of 15 of them responded to listening and watching Glee. At least 60% of teens watch Glee and listen to the music. My IPod has over 200 Glee songs. I also want to say that the Glee music is very good. So are the episodes itself.
The show Glee is very empowering and inspirational. I truly think this is the best TV show of all time. This show is so intriguing; sometimes I

Many teenagers who watch the show see girls becoming more and more famous. The girls start other shows or even end up in magazines. When young people see this it makes them think that they could become famous if they have a child. The show gives teenagers false hope that they will also get to be on a TV show if they have a baby at a young age.…

The casting directors of this show hit the spot while casting. Every character on the show does an amazing job of convincing us that this is what they are like. The cast is more than perfect, although it could have been much different. Many great actors auditioned for different roles and Matthew Perry was almost not cast. Perry filmed the pilot for another show called L.A.X. 2194 a show about an airport. Thankfully this was unsuccessful because if not he would not have been on Friends. David Schwimmer also contributed to this amazing cast by accepting the roll Ross, a roll wrote for…

    Deviance on Television

I chose this particular show, because of one key reason. Secret Life of the American Teenager explores a teenage taboo. It is reflective of a new strain in American morality that accepts teenage sexual exploration, teenage pregnancy, and all other forms of deviance and misconduct. When Secret Life first debuted, it was supposed to be a “cautionary’ tale about teenage pregnancy, but it is handled more like a deviant soap opera. Not only does an abstinence-only, pro-life agenda appear to be advocated, but that Secret Life also portrays negative historical stereotypes about gender, race, and sexuality. This programming depicts adolescent sexuality in terms of a heterosexual script which situates traditional gender roles as prohibited by hegemonic masculinity as the norm, as well as reinforces a sexual and racial double standard.…

What makes a good television programme for me would be imaginative script writers who can create original concepts and vivid images, which House does. The images are often so true to life that while I’m watching I can smell the overpowering and unmistakeable aroma of disinfectant and hand wash, taking me back in time to visits in hospital when I was child, not pleasant memories but ones that linger in the back of my mind and resurface like your worst nightmare each time I have to go into a hospital.…

    Breaking Down Glee

Fox introduced a TV show called Glee in 2009 to showcase the typical high school experience with a little twist. Every week there is a new theme the show tries to tackle and focus that is a prominent social issue such as “self acceptance” or “sexuality”. It was intended for youth audiences but has grown to be loved by all ages. It is a show on television that we as Americans have never had or experienced before. It is in your face about social issues that need to be confronted immediately and doesn’t seem to shy away from anything. It conveys messages and helps shape peoples’ opinions on stereotypes and the characteristics that are associated with these stereotypes. By portraying reality through typical high school students lives, Glee tries to construct social realities in American life by focusing on gender, sexuality, and culture.…

Everyone was watching it, so I needed to see what the hype was about. I got hooked. The fast paced, drama filled show captured my attention, but the scenes that resonated the most were the ones showing the various research projects shown by the attendings. They would take something unknown and turn it into a major medical method. Yes, Grey’s Anatomy is fictional, but the idea of looking into the unknown and using that knowledge to change the world never left my mind. I knew that God spoke to us in weird ways, but I didn’t expect Him to speak to me through Grey’s…

The idea of telling your kids the day you met your wife (their mother) may sound like a boring story and a horrible show plot. Writers found the right formula to mix romance, sex, relationships, and comedy all in one to create this hit show. In this analysis I will break down what the show is made of from the obvious visual to the more in-depth hidden values and messages that are coded within the show.…

This is a show from 90s but I am watching the reruns now. Can't believe I missed out on a show like this. I really think the 90s show were more entertaining than the shows we have today. I don't like reality shows because I think they are not real at all and its all scripted. I like comedy and so I like this show and the only thing I watch on TV at the moment.…
