All of these teenagers are African Americans who have struggled in life and they all have a similar story. What connects them all is the fact that they each lost a parent or both parents and is trying to provide for themselves. An example of this is one lost both mom and dad, one at the age of 12 and the other recently. They all have one thing that they all comeback to which is Lacrosse. Lacrosse is their getaway. When they play nothing else matters and they forget about everything. Its their comfort zone. The thing that feels right. Another aspect that’s presented in this commercial is the drive that each of them have to be successful, the inspiration and the heart. Executive Summary: Dollar General is the sixth largest mass merchandiser, and the fourth largest discount store in the U.S. However, significant growth opportunities remain for extreme-value retailers such as Dollar General. Dollar General’s strategic objective is sustainable and profitable long-term growth. The company has opportunities for growth by expanding in the United States to areas that lack an extreme-value retail presence. Continuing to serve low-, middle-, and fixed-income families in small communities will prevent Dollar General from competing directly against mass retailers such as Wal-Mart and Target. Dollar General’s strength has been their ability to remain small, convenient, and cost-efficient; they should continue to do so. Consolidating the fragmented industry via acquisition will increase economies of scale in an industry where low-costs are critical.…
