“All transformational leaders are charismatic, but not all charismatic leaders are transformational. Transformational leaders are charismatic because they can articulate a compelling vision of the future and form strong emotional attachments with followers. However, this vision and these relationships are aligned with followers’ value systems and help them get their needs met.” (Hughes, el at, p.577, 2012) Bishop T. D. Jakes is the Pastor at The Potters’ House of Dallas, Texas. Bishop Jakes is truly a charismatic leader that influences over 30, 000 members or more that attends his

D. Jakes effective leadership style has giving many of his followers hope through his teaching and preaching messages at the Potter’s House Ministry in Dallas, Texas. Bishop T.D. Jakes role is not just behind the pulpit but he is out giving back into the community. He has some homes build in the community and apartment buildings to help with the single parents and senior citizens who need help with housing assistance. Bishop Jakes travel to different countries to help support those who are in need of assistance globally as well. “ In October 2006 a delegation from The Potter’s House commissioned by Bishop Jakes returned to Kenya to establish a computer lab at Kawangware Primary School, the first of its kind in a slum school. “ (Jake, 2012) This school was located in Africa to help the children to develop their learning skills and teach them how to use computers to enhance their learning …show more content…
Charismatic leaders set high expectations while expressing confidence in their abilities and providing ongoing encouragement and support.” (Hughes, el at, 2012)
Bishop T.D. Jakes is truly one that is a charismatic leader that appeals to the emotions of his followers who were hurting women in need of emotional healing. These followers were able to build a strong bond with Bishop Jakes because they could see his vision as a solution to solving their problems.

“When you see a leader behavior (even when it may appear obviously effective or ineffective to you), you should not automatically conclude something good or bad about the leader, or what is the right way or wrong way leaders should act. You need to think about the effectiveness of that behavior in that context with those followers.” (Hughes, 2012) I believe that Bishop T.D. The non-called pastor, the non-called person in any position, is one of Satan’s most effective weapons. (See 1 Timothy 4; 2 Timothy 3-4; 2 Peter 2; Jude; and Revelation 2-3). Spiritual leadership requires the ability to listen, to respond to, and to effectively communicate God’s desire and will for a congregation Ministry is not only teaching, or being in view of congregation, but it is above all serving. It is shepherding, discipline. It is running to the hospital to sit at the beside of the sick and doing so at any time of night or day.…

There are many different types of leaders and leadership styles throughout the many cultures of our world. Most are tied to one certain entity or cause. Although Dr. Billy Graham is tied to God, he is an example of leadership that spans across many different sectors. He has impacted the ministry of America by crossing lines of division among the churches as well as cultural traditions. He is motivated by love of God and that love is transferred to loving people and himself. He recognizes that he is man and he recognizes the flaws the stain that sin has left on the human nature.…

When I think about examples of a leader who was able to inspire and transform people’s values and beliefs, I immediately think of Jesus and his ministry in Palestine. Jesus was a dynamic example of transformational leadership and he was able to create a compelling vision that allows us to see ourselves and our world in a new way; through servant leadership.…

As alluded to earlier, leaders must have certain traits to be successful and Billy Graham has just about every trait that defines a successful leader. Recently, the Reverend was interviewed by Dr. Thom Rainer who is the CEO of Lifeway Christian Resources. After the interview Dr. Rainer said, “The name of Billy Graham inevitably reminds us of integrity. His is a life that did not compromise morally. He has lead a life of incredible honesty. Leadership at any level cannot begin to function well unless the leader has integrity.”(Rainer 2009). Not only does Reverend Graham…

Recently I was honored to conduct an interview with Pastor Mike of the Trinity Baptist Church of Reedsburg, WI. Growing up in a non-denominational home where when we were old enough we were taught to believe in who we find fit. I was quite confused at first and decided to pay a visit. From the moment I knocked on the door I was greeted with sincerity. Here stood a man who didn’t judge me like has been done before. I was lost in a sense. At first he seemed a little hesitant but then let me ask a few questions.…

After reading the paper about Charismatic Leadership: Reflections From Personal Life Experiences by Dr. Andrew Anane-Asane, I had the chance to also evaluate my life and my leadership style. I have several leadership roles in my life, apart from being the first-born son of my parents, I’m also an Associate Producer in my work, and a youth leader in our local church, Lighthouse Christian Community Sta. Rosa. In my high school and college years, I am most of the time appointed or elected in a certain leadership status, though as a kid I’m the repressed quite bullied kid in the corner of the room, I actually can’t understand how the sense of leadership sprung in me. And there are times that I find myself caught up in a puzzle because I’m not really…
