DAVIS STAFFING SERVICES LLC.
Staffing Your Business With Our Skilled & Talented Workers
Davis Staffing Services, LLC was started by Davis in her home office on February 12, 2010. She later enlisted her college friend to help her run the business as the business grew so quickly. Within the first year, she had to move from her home office to a plush office building located in City, GA just south of Atlanta. The company has grown from just 2 employees to 15 employees in order to satisfy business demands and needs. We have built our company on a talented network of expertise that crosses industries and geographies. We recognize that talent comes in different forms and that every business has its unique challenges and opportunities. Our recruiting experts are skilled at marrying talent and business — identifying the ideal professionals for your organization’s culture and its teams, needs, and goals. We will work to ensure that an optimal match is created through a deep understanding of your business needs — a match that will drive results for any company.
Davis Staffing Services, LLC was started in 2010 with a mission to put men, women and ex-felonies back to work. Our HR services represent some of the fastest-growing industries, with a regional market worth around 3.5 million. As we continue to thrive to become a global leader, we see it as our responsibility to take an active role in developing the industry. We have goals to place as many unemployed and underemployed men and women into jobs within the state of Georgia and around the South East region. By finding employees the work they are best suited for, and by finding employers those candidates who best fit within their organization, we provide value to society as a whole. Our goal is to change labor market trends, including an aging population, ex-felons, wounded and retired military personnel, women and especially those with disabilities. We want to add flexibility for both our employers and employees, and resolve labor market shortages by developing new solutions. By finding the right balance between the needs of the employer and the changing wishes of employees, we will bring supply and demand closer together. In short, our mission is to take the lead in helping to shape the working world through a second chance.
HUMAN RESOURCES CHALLENGES
Davis Staffing Services, LLC is a company that hires talents from all walks of life which brands us with a few challenges. We have two departments within our company, one that is for our regular population of job seekers and the other for our second chance job seekers. Our clients respect and understand that we also hire wounded and retired military personnel, ex-felons as well as those with mild handicaps. Job placement is not always an easy task for some of our job seekers but with the help of government funded tax breaks more companies are willing to hire our talented and skilled workers. Hiring of ex-felons is a double challenge and we believe that everyone deserves and need a second chance at employment. With the Work Opportunity Tax Credit program, the Department of Labor gives a tax credit to every company who hires people of a particular segment. The WOTC is a by-product of the 1996 Small Business Job Protect Act. The purpose of the credit is to encourage employers to hire certain population segments by providing them with an incentive. The segments of the population that the credit covers are SSI Recipients, veterans, welfare recipients and ex-felons. Another challenge that we face at Davis Staffing Services LLC is unprofessional attitudes of the job seekers. With any staffing agency, your client may call you at a moment notice for help. Sometimes, we find that our job seekers although in need of employment will accept an assignment gladly but go onto the jobsite with a lousy attitude....
