Background Information

Burger King was founded in 1954 in Miami, Florida by James McLamore and David Edgerton. There are more than 11,000 globally in more than 60 countries. In 1957 the WHOPPER is their most famous menu item, and has been their signature item ever since. In 1958 the Burger King Corporation aired their first television campaign. Then in 1963 two restaurants opened in Puerto Rico for their very first international market. 1975 was the introduction of the “Drive-thru service” in the U.S. Burger King has more products than most companies. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You range from French toast sticks, hash browns, to burgers, fries, salads to shakes, smoothies, and ice cream. Their best-selling item to this day would be their WHOPPER. The services they provide are take out, drive-thru, and quick services.
The type of people Burger Kings appeals to would be literally almost everyone, but leaning more towards people ranging from late 20’s to late 70’s. Burger King has grown from one store to over 11 thousand in just about 50 years. It also offers scholarships for the “Have it your way” foundation. On average about 11 million people visit BK per day.

Products and Services

The products that BK provides are burgers, salads, wraps, chicken strips, chicken nuggets, fries, sweet potato fries, onion rings, apple slices, oatmeal, shakes, smoothies, sundaes, ice cream, pies, cinnamon rolls, donut holes, hot chocolate, coffee, coke products, ICEE, milk, apple juice, orange juice, and frappes. They provide some services, such as take out, dine in, and drive thru.
This company has shown me how to be patient towards customers, how to serve people and how to be kind. This is a good thing because not all customers are easy to deal with. Some are difficult, angry, happy, quiet, and or loud. Everyone’s different. This company has also taught me how to be patient.
