P5- Explain how these functional areas are linked in one of these organisations

Functional areas are used in many businesses and are very effective as different areas work together to do or produce one thing. Tesco is a multinational company and also have functional areas such as:
Human rescores
Customer service
Administration and support
Research and development
Finance and department
Product operation
Each one of these areas have a role to do in all functional areas but every area works together as one taking key information from each other and using it to do their job.
Human resources department
In Tesco human resources department is known as the personnel. There job is to do many things such as hiring employs for the company, control employee benefits, control promotion and pay rises and give warnings and layoffs. Overall the human

This is done by customer surveys giving information about what people think about the business and the research and development department taking it on board and informing the administration and support department. Research and development Tesco like to spend allot of their time researching and developing as they want to have the big next thing as they want to be the better than their competitors, ASDA or Morrison's. That put allot of stress on the research and development team which spend all their time looking for new ideas such as let's make our own toaster so customers will have to pay less meaning more people will come to Tesco and that will lead to a health profit.
The research and development department works around administration and customer services as they help by telling them what the customers want. The research and development department try to take that on board and improve their business so they can off something that appeals to their customers.
