Assessment description
Using the Dinosaurs R Us business letter template and style guide, create a letter that informs the Dinosaurs R Us customers of the office closure dates for the summer holidays.
Procedure
1. Plan – complete the planning checklist for this document
2. Draft – prepare a draft of the letter
3. Review – mark up the draft document
4. Final – Write the completed letter and submit to your facilitator

Specifications
You must provide:
The completed letter
A marked up draft version of the letter
A completed planning checklist (template attached)

Your assessor will be looking for:
Writing style that contains good grammar
Letter is spell checked
Letter is worded appropriately for the audience
The required elements are included (date, salutation, etc)
Letter is provided on company letterhead
Letter complies with company (Dinosaurs R Us) style guide (see Appendix 4 of your Student Workbook for the style guide)
