Brycen: A Case Study
I am writing to provide an update regarding mental health services provided to Brycen Boyd-Sigo. Brycen was brought weekly to counseling throughout summer by his mother Crystal Sigo. Since the school year has begun my work with Brycen has been primarily parenting and case management.
Brycen On 9/9/2016 this therapist attend a meeting at Suquamish elementary school to address school concerns about problem behaviors and how the school can best support Brycen. This therapist provided recommendations and informed the new staff of Brycen’s history with the school. In the next two consecutive sessions Brycen was exhibiting symptoms of depression (low energy, agitation, trouble focusing) and was communicating low self-worth. Brycen had been escalating
