Britney Spears a tragic hero!
I know the entire world has heard of the famous pop star, Britney Spears. I am sure many would not think of her as a tragic hero, but with little research she you will find that she is in several ways. As a young girl Britney was introduced to the All New Mickey Mouse Club TV show when she was just 11 years old. In 2000 she reached the top of Pop charts with an instant hit “Oops, I Did It Again”. Although she was not born of Noble Birth or elevated status, she was born with incredible talent which brought her great potential as a singer and song writer. Britney has earned a net worth of over $200 million dollars which more than half is due to her amazing singing career.

Britney was born into a modest home and a loving family as a middle child to an older brother and younger sister. At a young age she already knew how she wanted to spend her life, as a Hero just like Madonna, or Janet Jackson. This women has spent a life time training for the attention she wanted, she attended gymnastics and voice lessons including dance lessons then going on to win many state-level competitions. All of this bringing her closer and closer to her dreams of fame. At this young age she already showed true characteristics of a hero, sacrifice threw education in performance. Always networking to get to the next step in her career and using real compassion to inspire reaction.

Being the instant sensation that she was practically from the time of birth Britney could do no wrong. Every song she sung turned to music gold. The young Mississippi pop star became every little girl’s dream. In essence she received exactly what she wanted she was now the next big thing, she was a hero to many small child.

In 2006-2007 Spears feel from the pop charts into a hard divorce, custody battle for her children, followed by drugs and much more debauchery. The public eye only scrutinizing Spears drove her to a very dramatic downwards spiral which was displayed for the world to view. Many believed she’d become the next "Anna Nicole Smith," to religious leaders making her the poster girl for all evil in this world. For Britney she behaved as though this was the beginning of the end. Just like Oedipus a true tragedy as Aristotelian outlined for tragedy with all the ingredients necessary in her plot of life. Britney’s fatal flaw was her own doing. After several incidents, she became more known for her rage and disorganized thoughts and aggression, rather than her skill, which ultimately caused less people to want to work with her. In 2007 Britney became out of control with her thoughts and rebellion against court official’s that she shaved her head over a drug test.

Despite her personal struggles, Spears moved forward with her next album. The single, "Gimme More," was released in August 2007 and received a warm response from critics. Her graceful return was short lived by a hit and run just a few short months later. It seems as though with every attempt to return to her former glory, Spears only stepped further back. Britney’s own desire and ability to draw people in was in many ways her down fall. The same people who loved and cheered for her now despised and criticized her actions. She was ultimately unable to control herself in view of outside influences.

Spears finally enlightened and possibly even growing up and becoming her true self returns to her roots and continues to record music and satisfy the public in ways she chooses. Britney Spears started off with a wonderful image, but ended with an image that many people would look down upon.

Why I hate Britney was an article written by the, Nisey Williams at the time when she wrote this article, Nisey was a senior at the University of Austin. According to Miss Nisey Williams, Britney Spears in early 2000s were the most extremely or shockingly bad influence on the young girls as an icon or idol. More over Miss Nisey believes that in 2002 Britney Spears was the most famous and influential character or artist, however she accept this as a true fact that, Britney was famous because of her shabby, dirty, and vulgar clothes. Also in the article Miss Nisey compared Britney with another singer of that era Avril Lavigne. According to Miss Nisey Williams, Avril Lavigne was more appropriate and better role model or fashion icon for the young girls, because Avril lyrics of songs were more ethical and her clothes were also more conservative side. In fact Miss Williams believes that the young girls who idolize, Britney Spears and listen to her songs will have a very positive sign of getting involved in sexually activities in younger age. Some say she is only remembered by her sex appeal and drug habits but it is so much more than that to me. I personally look past the sex and drugs and look at how she is so comfortable in her own skin and that just because she has some curves that it doesn’t make her “ugly” or “fat” it just makes her a little more meaty than most models are. She doesn’t cover herself up more because she is bigger she embraces it in a way to show other women that it is okay to be more the 100 pounds and that you can still be beautiful even if you’re “overweight.” And she never let the people who didn’t agree with her decisions and opinions change her and I think that is a big problem in our world…

She writes almost all of her own songs, and they are full of meaning. For example a hit song of hers, ‘Gunpowder and Lead’, is about women and how they should not take any shit from any one, let alone a man who hits them. I’m even sitting here writing this, listening to her music. I mean not all of her songs have such a deep meaning, but they all are certainly songs you can just sit back, and rock out too. I’m in love with it, and such a huge fan. In my eyes, Miranda is unlike any star. She isn’t a skinny, overrated, prissy little bitch who is only popular for one song, or how pretty they are. Miranda isn’t even that main-stream, but still does what she loves. When she was a teen, she was on a show kind of like American Idol that got her career started. She went to Nashville, and came back to Texas almost immediately because she hated the “pop” sound of music, and wanted to stay original, and straight up country. She’s a country-rock girl, with meat on her bones, a strong head on her shoulders, and doesn’t take shit from anyone, and will speak up if she has too. I mean, I don’t know the woman personally, but she sure comes off as this way, and it rocks! Oh and who wouldn’t be inspired by…

Over the past decade, Britney Spears has gone downhill little by little from becoming famous after being on Disney channel. While doing a case study on Britney Spears, I learned the music industry stole away her innocence and molded it into an attempt to transition from a pop princess to a sexy adult performer that would sweep millions. Her overexposure and paparazzi frenzy causes her to go insane because she has no privacy. Additionally, there is proof that Britney has had many psychotic breakdowns. Maybe the reason for her actions in the past has to do with the fact her children being taken away from her custody and her career going slowly down the drain. Also, she has been in a constant battle with drugs, alcohol, her ex-husband Kevin Federline, and the paparazzi. Secondly, some of the people she hangs with are bad influences from the get-go including famous Paris Hilton. Furthermore, in November 2006 after being friends with Paris, Britney was caught three times wearing no underwear on and exposing herself to the paparazzi (Cowboy). Afterwards, Britney made even poorer choices as her life began to fall to pieces even further which made her a bundle of fans. For example, after reading an article about Britney going downhill, a blogger wrote, “wow I used to actually like you until you became a whore and a crack head and then when you have your first chance you get your kids back you don’t even show up for your court hearings you’re a horrible mother” (Neyna). Many bloggers that used to be fans of Britney agree to this blog.…

<br>The teen pop idol singer Britney Spears is a woman that I look up to for many reasons. She has tantalized the entire world's youth with her incredible voice. By doing so, she serves as a role model for many of the young people growing up in today's society. Although Britney is only 19, she already has had a major effect on a multitude of people. Not only does she reach the eyes of the five year old, but she also influences teenagers and adults alike. There are not many people who you have accomplished this phenomenon, which is why I give her my full respect. Britney is not only a singer, she is a mentor as well. Through her song writing, she has passed along her ideas and life experiences. In her song "Dear Diary," Britney gives a personal account of her encounter with a boy.
