“Even in his sleep he couldn't escape.” This was a quote said by the author of the book “Asylum.” Dan, the main character, kept having these terrible nightmares after going into the abandoned office and seeing all of the “clues” and pictures in it. The Puritans would oppose the novel, “Asylum” due to the strong belief in ghosts, not respecting authority, and living sinful lives.

Dan, Abby, and Jordan heard weird noises, have bad nightmares, and start to see things after they go into abandoned office, that they broke into. They found old pictures, old glasses, old files, and even bloody handprints.. They also have a strong belief in ghosts because Dan kept receiving these weird emails about a patient. He found some papers in the office about the same patient that he got these creepy emails about. But, when he went to click on them to show Abby, they vanished. Dan and his friends do not respect any authorities of Brookline campus that they're for the summer. They break into the abandoned office all the time to figure out what makes the whole entire building so creepy. But, when they do find things in the office, sometimes they take them for clues. They also sneak around. Jordan’s parents don’t even know that he is at the Brookline campus for the summer. They think that he is at a gay reversal camp.
