The least we can do is to thank you. You gave me a future, freedom of speech, and an education, and so many more things.…

America’s Gift to My Generation John Quincy Adams once said, “You will never know how much it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom. I hope you will make good use of it.” I believe what he is trying to explain is that our freedom’s price was far too costly for it not to be taken advantage of. His quote provided a sufficient amount of evidence for me to prove that freedom is a very generous gift from America.…

Do you know when our national anthem first came to be the official anthem of the United States of America? The anthem was written by Francis Scott Key and became the official American anthem on March 3, 1931. America's gift to my generation is freedom of expression. Freedom of expression means we have the right to express our opinions in many ways. Currently, the professional football players of our nation seem to be using their freedom of expression to, in my opinion, disgrace our country's anthem.…

I love the way you explained how people celebrated 4th of July in America. It definitely gave us a sense of patriotism and national pride. America have gone a long way. Traditionally, it's to celebrate Independence Day with American flags, red-white-blue, and that whole game. Nowadays, from my perspective, there are some patriotic people. However, for me while growing up, it's more BBQ, pool parties, fireworks, and most importantly red-white-blue & American flags. That's still somewhat patriotic and bring people together as you said, communal celebration. Those celebrations only happen in few times annually and truly united as together and helps us remember that America definitely have gone a long way.…

The young girl of 10 years remained fixed in front of the machine, despite the announcement that she and the others could have a moment of respite. She futilely endeavored to abandon thoughts of the meager lunch that would barely sustain her throughout her lengthy work day. Although the machines made the stitching appear to be of higher quality, and thus, pleased her oppressive boss, she despised them for their incessant motion and their ability to hold her captive. The young girl merely wished to return to her residence where thoughts of labor would escape her as she slept. However, she was aware that this was an impossibility, so long as the machines ran. As such, she continued her wearisome, repetitious work of…

America’s Gift to my Generation is safety. For years our country has been threatened by outside forces. Without the military that America has and has had I would not live in the safe country I do today. I feel especially patriotic towards the military because my grandfather fought and was shot in the Vietnam war. The fact that he could have died for not just the sake of the people who were back in America at the time but for my generation’s safety. Not only has America ensured safety for it’s own people but it has stepped into keep other countries as safe as ours. An example of this would be when the U.S entered WW1 and WW2 to fight alongside the allies to defend Europe. This, in my opinion, is the perfect example of bravery and sacrifice.…

John Quincy Adams once said, “ You will never know how much it cost the present generation to preserve your freedom! I hope you will make a good use of it.” Police, Firefighters, teachers, military, and veterans...what do they all have in common? They help and protect us and our rights. They help us in our everyday lives; teachers teach us so we can go to college. People in other countries don’t have the chance to be able to go to college and pick the job they want. Sometimes before they are born, the government already has a job that they are going to do when they are old enough. The gift America has given to our generation is the freedom and education that we are fortunate to have.…

Modern America: her roots fortified by societal prosperity and rigorous efforts towards perfection, has allowed her to flourish in matters unfeasible to other countries. Freedom and opportunity reign adjacent to democratic powers, a partnership coveted by foreigners. Where communities, no matter the tongue, race, or religion, join together as one. Everyday America births new ideas, jobs, technologies, and opportunities for a better way of living. She captures the very essence to what she was once called: The new world. However, in spite of these qualities, America is far from excellence. Economical inequality impacts the livelihood of many, causing a great division of status amid the wealthy and those in poverty. Likewise, the disconnection of higher…
