Preamble:
We the citizens of Atlantis, wish to have peace and justice throughout the nation, that our nation will carry on as an united and civilized country. We hope to keep freedom strong, enhance justice, uphold laws, and through our democracy we will give equality to men and women through the Constitution of Atlantis.
Congress:
The Congress shall be made up of a Senate and a House of Representative with a total of 335 members. The Senate will have 50 members, and the House of Representatives will be made up of 285 members.
Members in the House of Representatives will be elected every three years. The members that are chosen every three years make up the House of Representatives. The people of states will chose the members. For a person to be elected a Representative must be the age …show more content…
The Senators will serve for three years and have one vote each. The Senate will be divided into two classes. The first class will be occupied by the Senators who have served for three or two years, and the second class is occupied by the Senators who have only worked for one or two years. To be in the Senate you must be twenty six or older, and be a citizen of Atlantis for ten years. The Vice President will be the President of the Senate. The Vice President will have a say in election.
The Senate will also have the only power to try all impeachments. When the President of the nation has tried, then Chief Justice shall control: And no person shall be accused without the agreement of of two thirds the Members present. The person taking action in Impeachment will be removed from Office, including any government form of office.
When it comes to election, each state will be hold election by the Legislature. The Congress should meet at least three times a year. The meetings will be March 10, June 8, and October 21, unless they shall by Law appoint a different
