One L&D initiative that they have implemented with regards to the growing service and quality trend in the F&B industry is the BreadTalk Academy. In line with their commitment to groom the next generation of leaders, BreadTalk has extended the BreadTalk Group Management Associate Programme, which is piloted in 2014 to attract young talents from established tertiary institutions, to current employees who show leadership potential.
These hand-picked employees are nurtured and developed through mentorship and immersion programmes to prepare them to take on management roles in the future. This helps to attract, retain and motivate highly skilled employees and managers. By retaining the skilled employees and managers, BreadTalk will be able to lower manpower costs. Nurturing and Developing the employees will also lead to the increase in their productivity, creating an external service value for BreadTalk’s customers and this will lead to customer loyalty and revenue growth. With the increase in revenue and the decrease in manpower growth, BreadTalk’s profits will also increase.
