INTRODUCTION TO THE STUDY
As a part of Bachelor of Business Administration, Mahatma Gandhi University has introduced a management project to make the researcher more experienced and efficient in his work. This is an opportunity to bring out the skills and practice what he had studied in classes. The researcher has to utilise this chance to do the project with all the skills and abilities and complete the project. For conducting a research the researcher selected a topic on the “A STUDY ON THE BRAND AWARENESS AMONG CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT TO KPL SHUDHI COCONUT OIL”. Through this study the researcher can get to know how much brand image is there for KPL SHUDHI among customers. If there is any lack of brand image among customers, it is because of the cut throat competition faced by KPL oil mills in this industry.

RATIONALE OF THE STUDY
The study about brand awareness helps the researcher to find the satisfaction level of the customers of KPL SHUDHI coconut oil. The study has wide scope. The study about the performance of KPL will help the researcher in getting a close view about coconut oil industry. And various suggestions to marketing activities of the firm and the information obtained from this study helps the organisation to identify their strength and weakness in the marketing performance and will help the organisation to rectify the errors that is present now.

OBJECTIVES
* To know the factor that leads the customer to purchase that product. * To know whether brand awareness of the product.
* To know the satisfaction level of the customers.
* To get practical experience on the management project.
* To know the activities done by the KPL SHUDHI coconut oil mills. * To find out the effectiveness of brand awareness among customers. * To know the services provided by the KPL SHUDHI coconut oil mills among the customers. * To know the formalities of the customers.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research methodology is a way to systematically solve the research problem. It may be understood as a science of studying how research is done scientifically. In it, study is conducted on the various steps that are generally adopted by a researcher in studying the research problem along with the logic behind them. It is necessary for the researcher to know not only the research methods or techniques but also the methodology. Researcher not only need to know how to develop certain indices or tests, how to calculate the mean, median or mode, how to apply particular researcher techniques, but they also need to know which of these techniques are relevant and which are not, and what would they mean and indicate why. Researcher also needs to understand the assumptions underlying various techniques and they need to know the criteria by which, they can decide that certain techniques and procedures will be applicable to certain problems and others will not. This entire means that this is necessary for the researcher to design the methodology, for the problem or the same may differ from problem to problem. In research, the researcher has to expose research decisions for evaluation before they are implemented. The researcher has to specify very clearly and precisely what decisions he selects them so that they can be evaluated by others also. From what has been stated above, we can say that research methodology has many dimensions and research methods do constitute a part of research methodology. The scope of research methodology is wider than that of research methods.
