Cancer is a disease that takes the lives of thousands upon thousands of people each year. There are more than 100 different types of cancers known to man. For example, brain tumor, an abnormal growth of cells within the brain or central spinal cord. Every brain tumor is extremely dangerous and possibly life threatening because of the small amount of space within the intracranial cavity. However, there are signs and symptoms that can be discovered beforehand so the tumor can be treated.

The symptoms of brain tumors are various and not particular to brain tumors. In other words, they can be created by numerous different diseases also. The symptoms are caused by the tumor pressing on or encroaching on other parts of the brain and keeping them from functioning normally. Some symptoms are also caused by the swelling in the brain primarily caused by the tumor or its surrounding inflammation.
