Braces To Straighten Your Teeth Research Paper
In the past, braces required getting a mouth full of metal. Fortunately, today there are many options when it comes to straightening your teeth. One of the more popular options are invisible braces, or Invisalign. Unlike traditional braces, this method uses a series of clear trays to straighten teeth and fix your bite. If you are thinking about using Invasilign to straighten your teeth, here’s four things you should know before you commit:
1. You Might Talk Funny
When you first get your invisible braces, you might sound a little funny when you talk. This is because the trays make it difficult to pronounce certain letters, such as “s.” Fortunately, this won’t last forever. After an adjustment period, you will soon learn how to talk without sounding

The trays used to straighten teeth keep the teeth warm and moist, which is ideal for bacteria. So in order to keep your teeth healthy and clean, you will need to brush and floss regularly. Ideally, you should brush and floss after every meal. If you cannot do that, expect to brush and floss at least twice …show more content…
You Will Need to Limit Certain Foods
Another thing you should know is that you will need to limit your intake of certain foods. Items that are staining, such as coffee and wine should be limited. Additionally, keep sugary foods and drinks to a minimum. Why? Because these items can stain your teeth and your trays.
4. The Trays Need Cleaning
Although this might sound like a no-brainer, many people simply overlook the fact that the trays also need to be cleaned—and regularly. It might seem as easy as using toothpaste while you brush your teeth, but that is a big no-no. Toothpaste is abrasive and that can make the trays even more welcoming to bacteria. So ideally, you should clean them with warm water and a clean toothbrush. You should clean them every time you take your trays out, so that when you re-insert them they are clean.
While Invisalign is very handy, it is important that you know what to expect. As this will help you be more prepared for wearing and caring for them. If you are interested in getting these braces, talk to your orthodontist or dentist to learn

Invisalign was introduced to dental professionals and the public in 1999. If you rushed to your dentist shortly after the clear aligners became a teeth-straightening option, or even years later, and were told you were not a good candidate for the devices, then you may have left disheartened and thinking that you could not fulfill your dream of having straight teeth without getting traditional braces. If you haven't already had your teeth straightened with traditional braces in the mean-time, then it is a great idea to obtain a new consultation with a dental professional to see if you are a good candidate for invisible teeth aligners now. Here are two reasons Invisalign may work for you new, even when you were told it wouldn't in the past.…

However, traditional braces actually prevent these problems because they make it easier to reach and clean all of the teeth, thus creating a healthy mouth. Dr. Suzuki claims that “Braces also prevent dental problems like TMJ if they are to help correct a bite problem. TMJ can occur from stress on the jaw point in people that have an incorrect bite pattern or misalignment of the bite”(par. 1). According to this evidence, braces can prevent future dental problems like TMJ. As mentioned previously, braces work to align the way both jaws bite, also known as occlusion. When the jaws do not align correctly, problems like Temporomandibular disorder can occur. This is known to cause severe pain and stress on the jaw and can affect mastication abilities. Since braces work to align the two jaws back into place, this is avoided and proper chewing is ensured. Braces work to align both jaws which prevents future TMJ dental problems. All in all, braces are not only functional but actually prevent dental problems by aligning the jaw and teeth to prevent decay, gingival recession, and bite…

Not long ago, patients would find they could choose to either have a bridge made or turn to dentures to replace these missing and failing teeth, but that is no longer the case. Today, a person may opt for a dental implant to replace this tooth, and this option has numerous advantages over previous solutions. First and foremost, the implant is inserted into the jawbone where it integrates over time. This helps to prevent the bone loss seen with missing teeth or dentures. Furthermore, no adjacent teeth must be modified to support the implant, preserving more of the natural health of the mouth. Once the implant has integrated, a crown is placed on top to restore the smile. As with other crowns, other people will not know this work has been done unless the patient opts to tell them. For most people, this is the preferred solution, thus speak to the dentist to see if that is the case for…
