I will help teach others with my knowledge and if needed get taught by others with a smile on my face.
Thriftiness, I will bring thriftiness to the campus and community by getting my work done and not doing other things around campus when I have homework. Homework will be my number one priority on campus. If there is homework to be done, I will stay on the weekends and do homework on campus.
Brave, I will bring braveness to the campus by making decisions and standing by them. For example, I have choose the major path I want to take and I will not play football because of the rigor of the courses that I am going to take. I would rather get my class work done and get an apprenticeship than play football, even though I have played football my entire life.
Clean, I will show up to class showered and keep my dorm clean. I will not be a pig on campus. Leave no trace, one thing that I and the Boy Scout strive to do and that is how I will treat the campus no matter if it is the classroom, hallway or my room it will all be

When walking around the University of Maryland, you’ll see posters plastered across walls, on the outside of buildings, on bus stops, the buses themselves, and even dumpsters reminding each of us to be fearless. At the University of Maryland, being fearless is not just a suggestion, it is an expectation. Most people just walk by these messages and don’t really understand what being fearless really means. It’s more than being bold, courageous, and brave. It’s about daring to try something new, challenging yourself to be a better you, taking risks with your ideas and plans, and to me, it mean inspiring others to pursue something that was once unimaginable to them. With this mentality, that I carried myself through my four years here. In all of the organizations I was a part of, I embraced change and innovation in my leadership positions, and most importantly, became the person I am today.…

The four pillars of the National Honor Society; scholarship, leadership, character, and service are the four qualities of a well-rounded individual. They have not only embodied who I strive to be, but have helped me achieve success and impact throughout my local community and my time as a national honor society member. Scholarship has helped me define not only who I am as a student, but has helped me prepare for my future. Without my drive to maintain my academics and pursue knowledge, I would not have discovered my love and passion for teaching. This newly discovered passion has helped me narrow down my future career, special education. Service, has helped me develop one of my individual characteristics, as I now understand the importance…

The four pillars of National Honors Society, scholarship, service, leadership, and character, have paved a path for me as a student and as a person. Scholarship has taught me to strive to be the best student I can be. I use scholarship to keep up with my school work and never give up when a class is hard. I always strive for the best grade I can get and I will stop at nothing until I reach my goal. I will continue to use scholarship as I go to college and pursue my dream as a pediatric dentist. I will study, I will learn, and I will never give up no matter what happens along the way. I use service when I volunteered to help my local private school. I was never asked to do so, but I felt as if I was giving back to a school that had done so much…

Since its establishment, the National Honor Society has been built upon the core values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Throughout the years, National Honor Society has upheld these pillars, and its outstanding club members strive to embody these values in every aspect of their lives. However, these four principles add up to become something much more over the course of National Honor Society’s lifetime -- its legacy. These four honorable tenets are what constitutes a legacy, and I wish to become an individual who represents all of these core values -- and more. I genuinely believe that I exemplify most of the qualities that National Honor Society values, and though I am aware that I am still lacking in some, I will work…

As Apaunic Chief in the Order of the Arrow, the National Honor Society of the Boy Scouts of America, I have had a lot of experience in coordinating events, guiding, and training others. I have prepared meetings, and executed them assiduously and efficaciously. I have also planned many events, one of which encompassed an Ordeal, a weekend in which scouts chosen for candidacy by their troops are lead in service projects whilst maintaining a strict vow of silence in order to become a member of the Honor Society of Scouting.…
