January 2013 Chapter 1 The Problem and Background of the Study Introduction: We all know that electricity is now in high-price and we must conserve it. And using our Investigatory Project, we can say that you will try to use it, you can conserve electricity and at the same time, you are enjoying the air from it. With this Investigatory Project that is made up of recyclable materials, you can use at the same time your computer and this USB fan, you will just install the USB in your PC then your PC will be the source of energy of this fan for it to move. So you can lessen the usage of electricity in using electric fan while playing PC. And also it can help our environment by using recyclable CD. Statement of the Problem: 1. Does it help our society and environment?

2. Is this fan can help us in conserving electricity?

3. Is this fan is cheaper and easier to prepare than electric fan? Significance of the Study This Investigatory Project can help us conserving electricity because some of us play computer with matching electric fan and because of our high/hot temperature right now. We use to move our electric fan and because of our to its highest level to give strong wind and if we move it to highest level, we use more electricity than using its lowest level. The usage of electricity is based on the work that is given by the electric fan. In that case, we use more electricity. That’s why this USB fan can help us in conserving electricity by connecting only the USB to the CPU

The molding department will create the fan 's plastic parts and the trimming department will shave off extra plastic parts before going to the assembly department. The new design will require that the molding department create a precise fan part that requires less trimming. This will shorten trimming time and the assembly of plastic fan parts to the motor will be much faster. This will decrease the amounts of outputs generated by the molding process and trimming process. Destroying waste material cost will decrease as the company becomes more efficient with the new process design; see Gantt chart in exhibit…

What water bottle-designed car will travel the fastest? There are many factors that are important in determining the answer to this question. One is how much kinetic energy is needed to push the water bottle car forward. Also, Newton’s third law of motion tells how the air can push the car forward based on the force that the air from the balloon pushes backwards. Aerodynamics helps clarify how the air moves over the car and reduces the drag of the car. Overall, all of these factors play a part in determining which water bottle-designed car travels the fastest.…

The arena will be the first in the world to combine the use of displacement ventilation – a reduced-energy cooling system utilizing passive climate controlled air – and crowdsourced feedback to maximize fan comfort. Five massive hangar doors above the grand entrance will open and allow the arena to use natural cooling phenomenon in Sacramento – The Delta Breeze – to control the building’s climate efficiently. With over 300 days of sunshine in Sacramento, the arena’s urban-smart energy system – with a specially designed 1.2 megawatt solar array on the arena roof and an 11-megawatt solar farm 40 miles away through a SMUD partnership – provides a creative solution for generating the power for the venue’s over 200 events all year long (Golden one center,…

There are many ways to conserve natural resources, all we need to do is look around and find a way to minimize the usage of natural resource that we using everyday. For example, turn off the lights when we leave the house; minimize the waste produced by buying less packaged goods and reusable products, and recycling. These are little things we can do to help, and these does not take much effort to do; however, if everybody does the same, we can still make that difference. In the big picture, we can consider using more renewable natural resources such as hydro-power and solar-power. These energy resources are the best ways to conserve natural resource such as fossil fuel. Fortunately, many energy conservative products have been invented: hybrid or electric cars and energy-efficient home appliances. These are the reflections of people’s concern towards the natural resources depletion. On the whole, we need to start do our share to conserve the energy and resource as part of our responsibility to the natural…

Nonetheless, saving energy not only benefits the planet, but our ‘pockets’ as well. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, a simple task like replacing the light bulbs in your home can save up “75% energy of the 10% home energy costs.” Or simply unplugging electronics and appliances when not in use – a task made easier by using multiple-outlet strips, which can turn everything off with the flip of a switch – can save you money. For example, Leaving a computer on all day can cost about “21 cents per day, or about $75 per year” (U.S. Department of energy). Also, according to Goldemberg’s article “Energy for the New Millennium”, 78% of CO2 and 23% of methane is expelled from energy activities which are ultimately major contributors to indoor air pollution, urban air pollution, acidification and global…

For the past years, we, the proponents, noticed that the prices of products sold on stores keeps on increasing due to the unstable price of oil. We all know that life becomes harder and harder, and the products of our prime commodities and bills that we need to pay keeps on increasing. We also know that in our time today, we have to save money for our near future and for emergency cases. There are some ways to avoid spending too much money. One of those ways is to recycle. Recycling is common to us, people, nowadays. We recycle not just to help to reduce the number of trash dumped in the dumpsite, but also to use that trash in another useful way. Another way to avoid spending much is to use our natural resources. A good example for that is our project. If our markers will ran out of ink, we don’t need to buy a new one, because all we have to do is use seaweed and mix it with the other materials stated in Chapter 2. Because of this project, we can save more and spend less.…

In order to solve these problems the product “Mobile Air Conditioning (MAC CO. ) had been produced especially with the electricity that is usually turned down many times during the day in the summer time which irritates people and keep them unable to sleep from the hot weather they are living with. This A/C is portable meaning that it could move from one place to another, people can even take it to their work , cars and anywhere they are visiting, they do not use electricity so if the electricity is down for any reason the A/C is not affected and finally , the small size of the Air conditioning make it even easy for children to hold and move it from one place to another whenever they need to turn it on. The company is thinking not only of innovative product but of a product…

The schematic of an automatic cooler fan for audio amplifiers is given here. The circuit automatically switch ON the cooler fan whenever the temperature of the heat sink exceeds a preset level. This circuit will save a lot of energy because the cooler fan will be OFF when the amplifier is running on low volume. At low volume less heat will be dissipated and it will not trigger the cooler fan ON.…
