Boston English High School Analysis
After graduating from Boston College’s Lynch School of Education with a BA in Elementary Education, I had the opportunity to go back to my alma mater, Boston English High School. There, I taught for three years as a bilingual math teacher for students in grades 9-12. Those were three very good and exciting years of teaching and learning for me. During my years at Boston English High School, I taught Algebra, Geometry and Advanced Algebra. The composition of the students at the school was very diverse. I taught math classes in Spanish to Spanish native speakers, I also had other math classes taught in Sheltered English that were made up of students from Latin America, Europe, The Middle East and Africa.
