1. The girl is sailing away from her true love, she is asking if there is anything she can send back to him
2. The guy says there is nothing of value he wants but only for her to come back still in love with him
3. The girl offers something of value, such as gold and silver from the foreign country
4. The guy says there is nothing he would want more than her kiss, he would give up anything else for it
5. The girl asks is there anything I can give you to remind you of me or make this misery pass faster
6. The boy says the only thing he wants from her is her love
7. The boy got a letter on a lonely day, saying basically that she may never come back again
8. The boy is lead to believe that the girl no longer loved him and that she has found another special someone
9. He says be careful wherever you are, just bring me back some of your new culture. It became clear that she was not going to come back anymore.. ): aw..

What:
I think this poem is the conflict between two lovers, one is based on material and things of value while the other is about feelings and things that are true and have real value.

How:
Rhyme, repetition, dialogue
“So take heed, take heed of the western wind, Take heed of the stormy weather.”

Why:
Maybe the writer is facing problems with a girlfriend, or close people around him about different points of views on things.
