Book Vs Movie Analysis

Most of the time the book is always better than the movie let’s take a closer look at the movie for I am number four. The story I am number four is about aliens trying to take over the world and the only things that is stopping them is 6 alien teenagers. In my opinion the book was a lot better than the movie The book just seemed to have a better plot. The movie rushed the story and took away some main events. First the movie did a very poor job in portraying many of the characters such as Henri. In the book Henri it seems like Henri cares a lot for John ,but in the movie Henri seems detached from John. It looks like Henri would rather be doing something else. Another major problem was the scenes they skipped which formed bonds between characters. This makes the viewer lose their attachment to the characters. The movie also skipped a lot of the scenes in which Henri and John bonded together.
To begin with the movie takes away the experience of the book as it skipped many important parts that were in the book. This change in the storyline altered the experience of the movie as the emotions you feel while reading the book are just not there in the movie. Some good examples of this could be the scene in the book were John narrowly escapes the mogadorians by jumping out the window and gliding to the next building. Without this scene the suspense in the movie is not there. Another major scene that the movie added was when Henri died early on in the movie instead of at the ending like in the book. I felt like this was not a good idea as you want the viewer to feel the same sadness as John but how is this possible if Henri dies too early. Also it felt like the movie took out more scenes than they added by doing this it made the whole story just feel rushed. Because of this there were many times in the movie that were hard to follow unless you read the
