Late night through the woods they make their way a to a large tree and from this tree hung a girl.In this small australian town Jasper was known as the trouble maker so then and there if they would have call the police Jasper would probably be in jail within an hour. Laura Wishart was the murdered, her death was the mystery and it was up to Jasper and Charlie to find who. This leaves him helpless so in the middle of the night Chrlie is woken up bye the frantic Jasper and lead into the woods to Luara. Charlie was needed to figure out who but he thought it was Jasper, but how? They were to close. Jasper couldnt even look at Laura hanging becuase it was all surreal. This secret was needed to be kept but who needed to exposed, and these two teens are the only duo who could crack this case.
This book is secrecy,mystery, and murder. The poetic non-fiction vibe is one of the beautiful things about the book. I reccommend this book to anyone who could take time and move with the pace of the book to later be shocked by the ending. There is a plot that's like a movie and your eyes are ready to press play. Craig Silvey is a talented author and if you like the craft of writing being praticed well I reccomend you put this book at the top of your list.
