Book Report On The Giver By Lois Lowry

My book The Giver, written by Lois Lowry is about a twelve-year-old boy named Jonas. Jonas lives in a futuristic world where there isn't much diversity, there are no fear, misery, and other awful conditions in life. In this world, you don't have many choices. When you're the age of twelve you get assigned a job in the community at the Ceremony of Twelve. Jonas was enthusiastic about getting his job. He didn't really prefer a job, but he liked to volunteer in the community. Jonas was privileged with a job that called The Receiver of Memory. The Receiver of Memory is someone who keeps the memory of the community. Jonas and other people in the community had no knowledge of what The Receiver of Memory is.

Nevertheless He then meets the last Receiver of Memory, he asked Jonas to call him the Giver. The Giver puts his hands on Jonas's back to display him the community past memory in Jonas's mind. The first memory he shows was a breathtaking sled ride. When Jonas receives more memory from the Giver,
Jonas gives Gabriel calming memories that rock him to sleep, like the ones the Giver gave to Jonas. Gabriel and Jonas start a bond with each other. But Jonas finds out that he will be released or killed, Jonas becomes outraged and prepares a proposal with the Giver to bring back the world to its good olden days. Jonas goes on his journey earlier than expected because his father told him that Gabriel will be released earlier than expected. So Jonas takes Gabriel and sets off on his journey. Jonas travels on his father's bike. As Jonas travels to elsewhere there are oodles of dangerous terrains but he has to travel on them to avoid the search planes that are searching for Jonas. Finally, Jonas finds a sled, the one in his first memory from the Giver, they two slide down to a small village where he hears music and sees lights. Jonas thinks that this is where elsewhere
