It has long been recognised by Evangelicals that God does the work of God and man does the work of man. God will not do the work of man and man can not do the work of God. Evangelism is an activity of the Church. Conviction of sin is the activity of the Holy Spirit. If we so much believed that we are saved only be faith, and the faith that saves us is through the grace of God and that this saving faith comes through the Word of God – if we Evangelicals or Orthodox really, really believed, we will be out of our comfortable Churches reaching out to a dying world with the Word that produces saving
