Female Rock Band Femme Fatale
Releases long awaited debut album
Which launches nation-wide tour

Pittsburgh, PA November 1, 2012 – Femme Fatale, Pittsburgh based female rock band will release their debut album titled “I Hit a Boy.” The release of their album also launches their nationwide tour beginning in Los Angeles, CA, and crisscrossing the country with the final stop in Pittsburgh in February 2013.

The album hits stores and tickets go on sale via ticketmaster.com or at event centers in cities where tour hits starting November 1, 2012.

The all female group who has been together for four years consists of band members Brenna Doughertry, lead singer, and sisters Linda Bannon, Laura Bannon, and Lisa Bannon. “I Hit a Boy” is their debut album following well-known and highly successful singles such as, “So Over You,” and “Never, Ever Looking Back.” Solely written by the collateral effort of the band members, the songs on this album are edgy and full of angst somewhat autobiographical about relationships gone wrong and friendships.

Often comparison to musicians Alanis Morissette and Blondie can explain the sex appeal and edge of the independent-female members of this group. However, Femme Fatale’s vocal and instrumental style are phrasing all their own. These girls know how to put on a show that creates such emotion and leaves you craving more.

Femme Fatale will celebrate its album release/tour in a number of ways:
Concert Proceed Donation- The band will donate all proceeds from the Pittsburgh concert to Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh.
Album Donation- The band will conduct a donation of 100 albums to various charities concerning female abuse in cities throughout their tour.
Speak Out- The band members are creating a program in

Their one-hundred percent donation is divided into two main parts one being that "seventy-five percent [goes to] dogs and clients" (Charity navigator 1). This means that seventy-five percent goes to purely helping out the clients. The remaining "25 percent [goes towards] public outreach and education" which is used to get more people to donate and to sign up for help, if needed. The last thing my mom would say is, “I not doing that just for you.” I would say then, but you don’t know if they are going to be on another tour after this one. There is nothing about them going on another tour, but I could be wrong or if they just didn’t say anything about it yet. They are a new group so they probably will go on another tour, but if they don’t then that will be terrible. They could also break up or something like One Direction because nobody thought that would happen.…

The night was perfect and the crowd was friendly with a diverse group of all ages old and young. Crowds of people filled the parking lot with sounds of Kid Rock blasting through car speakers and people enjoying their pre-show cocktails. Outside the venue Kid's cars were roped off for fans to check out and take photos. Entering DTE you could smell the aroma of Clarkston's own Union Station Restaurants famous mac and cheese and the Woodshop Resaurants barbeque. As we made our way toward the concert area the local Shriner's were selling Kid Rock/Shriners t-shirts with the proceeds going the organization. I really thought it was great that Kid was utilizing local buisness owners and charities during these hometown shows as well as the low dough show he was offering!…

My subject of choice is on my favorite band called Blink-182. I chose this artist because of the impact they had on my life as a teenager. Lets start off on who the band is and what they do. Blink-182 is a pop-punk band that was formed in 1992 and still plays music today; their members are Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker. When they formed in 1992 they sang songs of what life’s like as a teenager and the ordeals that teens go through. Their song “What’s my age again?” is about how getting older changes what your life’s like and what you can get away with, and there song “All The Small Things” was the depiction of love and not wanting to leave the one you love. One of the biggest impacts that Blink-182 had on me was in 2011 when one of my good friends, named Spencer committed…

Because of their great strides and selflessness, enough money was raised to erect a 30-apartment residence for the LGTBQ youth in New York. (Peters) It is that kind of effort that pays off. The foundation put something to their minds and they got something done. These youth do not want a handout either. However, with help from the community and local businesses in the area, funding for this event can come from several different ways. One of the most beneficial ways for funding this event will come from donations from the community members. Though this book festival is a free event, upon entrance to the festival, we will ask attending members for donations to help fund and aid the event. In addition, we will contact local bookstores and organizations for donations prior to the festival in order to help make the book festival possible. For example, Barnes and Noble and Borders Bookstore are two of the largest community bookstores in the Queens area that may contribute to make the festival successful. Spencer (2010) stated that with donations, non-profit organizations are able to help fulfill others’ goals as well as help the less fortunate who are usually the targets for the foundations. This idea holds true for our book festival because of the economic changes in the community and the potential threats to the libraries in the area we can help keep these resources open to the less fortunate individuals in the…
