Body Image Persuasive Speech
Body image. It is something almost everyone in the world thinks about on a daily basis, whether it deals with the way their hair looks, or how much fat they have around their thighs. Pictures and voices dealing with the “correct” body type and shape flood our eyes and ears and travel through any medium it can possibly find like a plague.

Ladies and gentlemen, It is estimated that in Canada, 80 to 90% of women are unhappy with their body image., and 18% of men nationwide are concerned about their physique.

My goal today is to change the way you view body image and yourself; to display a new side of body imagery you might not have thought of. I want to prove that body image is superficial.

Consider the fact that mirrors made from polished stone have been found at archaeological sites dating from before 6000 BCE”(Donatelle, 2012, para 3). Our body image made up of how we see ourselves in our mind, how you feel about your body, and some of what you see in the mirror.
