Body Exercise Persuasive Speech
So you've all heard about how bodyweight exercises are pretty much a waist of time when it comes to getting into shape and building muscle. Everyone knows that these types of exercises are for the military and that they're nowhere near as good as machines and free weights right? Well if you think that, then you are sorely mistaken and I shall now enlighten you with a few reasons as to whey they're awesome for you.

1. Bodyweight training doesn't beat up on your joints
This type of training allows for a more natural range of motion than weight lifting or exercises machines do. This makes it easier on your joints since the whole exercises isn't isolated to one spot. This also means that you engage more muscle groups, which in turn helps you

I am writing you today to ask for your support. This year, on Saturday, August 5, I will be riding in my first Pan-Mass Challenge (PMC), from Wellesley to Bourne. The PMC raises money for cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. My employer, Waters Technologies Corporation, is sponsoring a team for the first time, so I decided to join “Team Waters.” I will be riding in honor of my Mom, a breast cancer survivor and in memory of my sister, Jayne, who on May 17, 2017 lost her battle to liver and colon cancer.…

Heavy objects are carried over certain distances, and Olympic weightlifting styles are also used. Olympic weight lifting consists of lifting a single barbell with maximum pound weights on either side. Trainees and athletes run, use dumbbells, jump rope, and do body weight exercises. Body weight training consists of exercises that do not incorporate objects or weights, such as pull-ups, sit-ups, and squats. Squats are the most important to master because this form of motion is used the most throughout a normal day.…

The summer, a time of warm weather, long weekends, friends and holidays. It is also the time where many of us put down the junk food, get off the couch and come out of winter hibernation to enjoy the outdoors. It’s often not long after playing your first game of beach volleyball or running to catch the bus when you realise that your heart is racing, sweat is pouring down your face and you are breathing heavily. As you look up and watch everyone still running around you or as your stepping onto the bus only one thought is running through your mind “WOW I am out of shape!”. Now I am not here today to try and convince you to get into better shape. Starting a fitness routine is a commitment that an individual needs to decide on for themselves when the time is right for them. It is at this time when many people have the same debate, do you shell out the money for a gym membership? or do you invest in a home gym? My goal today is to persuade you so when or if you do decide to start a fitness routine you will choose to or at least consider the benefits of purchasing a gym membership over investing in a home gym. I believe this can be done by examining what many people think are the benefits of investing in a home gym. Which are saving money, convenience, and not having to deal with other members. After looking at these three points it will become clear that not all of them are completely true and joining a gym can satisfy these needs just as well if not better.…

Some of these whole body movements include squats, deadlifts, push ups, pull ups and so on. The military takes advantage of many of these body weight movements and they get fantastic results. Also, crossfit makes use of a lot of these total body movements as well. However, a typical gym attendee doesn't really focus on these, and that is where they make the mistake. These exercises burn the most muscle while simultaneously building or toning a lot of…

Even the most famous of sports stars need medical intervention when their hips fail, and Pele the soccer star is an example of this. He has just had corrective surgery for a replacement hip received in 2012. A replacement hip means that after recovery you can once again live a pain-free existence and walking will be a lot easier, but you're not immediately going to be able to leap out of bed after surgery and run laps around the hospital ward. Physiotherapy is going to help you put your best foot forward with your new hip, so what does that mean for you exactly?…

The idea is simply that most of us don't have an hour or two to workout at home, 6 days a week. And even if we did, would that actually be optimal? After all, when it comes to a workout at home and building muscle, the law of diminishing returns always applies at some point. Research shows that performing 1 set of a weight training program, works for building muscle, but 2 sets of a weight training program would work better, but what about, say, 10 sets of a weight training program? Is this better than doing 8 sets or even 4 sets? For answers.. we rely on data from more than 50 years of muscle research, and on the practical research of a former world class martial artist turned Personal Development Coach, who is now recognized as one of the world's foremost workout at home trainers and fitness experts.…

    1. Effective - In order for a piece of exercise equipment to be effective it needs to be able to challenge all of the muscle groups in the body. This can only be done with multiple levels of resistance (tension). The fact is that each of your muscle groups is a different size and a different strength. Your thighs are stronger than your arms, your back is stronger than your shoulders etc… If you use one level of resistance for all of your muscles some will be challenged and some will not. Why is it so important to challenge you muscles? When you challenge a muscle (place it under new stresses) with resistance it will be forced to adapt and eventually change. This is the theory of adaptation. But it makes sense. If you need proof of this simply look at people in certain labor-intensive professions. Have you ever seen a skinny steel worker? No? That's because they are lifting heavy amounts of weight daily and their bodies have adapted. Is Bodylastics effective? Big time!…
