The bobtail squid also called as dumpling squid is called so because unlike other squid which have a streamlined body, these have a short, stubby body [2]. They live in shallow, coastal waters of the Pacific Ocean and some parts of the Indian Ocean. Being carnivorous animals their diet consists mostly of shrimp.
