Bo Jackson Hero Essay

Vincent “Bo” Jackson could be named as the greatest athlete of all time. He is the only person ever to be in an MLB All-Star game and an NFl Pro Bowl game. There are many stories and tales of Bo that not only show how great of an athlete that he truly was, but also show how good of a person he really was. All the things he did led up to him becoming a hero for people all around the world. Jackson shows many traits that one may say an epic hero possess like his many humble acts, his godly strength and courage, and his warrior like mindset. Throughout Bo’s life and athletic career he embodies this humble and kind persona. Many people say the reason he never saw the full potential of his athletic ability was because of how humble he was. However when he was injured during his football season many thought he would never play again. No person had ever come back from an injury like his but that wasn't gonna stop Bo with his warrior like mentality to try and make a comeback. After his surgery Jackson rehabbed 5 days a week every week until he was cleared for sports again. Bo then signed another major league contract with the White Sox proving to everyone that Bo really isn’t like everyone else. Bo also possessed unbelievable feats of strength. Jumping 40 foot ditches, throwing crab apples though windows, and dunking a stick on a 10 foot basketball goal are just a few. It may not seem all that great for an adult to do that, but a young boy in eighth grade is truly remarkable. It didn't stop there in high school Bo broke the state record for the 100 meter dash which still stands today. Along with that he took down an entire batting cage at practice just by hitting the ball as hard as he can. Bo is considered to be a hero to tons of people around the world due to his humility, warrior like mindset, and his ungodly strength. He lived life like no one was watching and he only did what he wanted to do. Unlike his sports career Bo Jackson's story will live on forever and echo throughout
