Blue Hoodie Research Paper
I wear a hoodie almost every day. I wear one at least sometime during the day even when it is not cold or necessary. It’s a way to have something that comforts me. Every hoodie I have has a nonprofit logo rather than a clothing brand. This is because my life is a representation of the nonprofits that have helped me and the service that I hope to provide for nonprofits. I have been wearing a blue hoodie most often this semester. The color is very similar to the color of the Microsoft Word program icon. The hoodie is soft in the inside and fits perfectly on my body. The name of the nonprofit is on the left corner. It lies on top of my heart and is an icon featuring a kid-like drawing of children holding hands. Under the children in white letters is the name, Taylor Family Foundation. On the back of the hoodie is the name “Barry Taylor 1938-2013” with a simple drawing of a tent and backpack. This hoodie honors Barry Taylor. He was the founder of The Taylor Family Foundation (TTFF). I sadly didn’t get to personally meet him before he passed. She presented me a bunch of supplies that the foundation gave me for college. I was so surprised when I saw a full of car of items such as a laptop computer, toiletries, and other necessary things for college that I did not think to bring. I felt so grateful to have a person to take their time to pick out every little thing for me, especially since we both don’t like shopping. I didn’t expect so much and was in total shock. I was glad to have her there on such a nerve wracking day. She definitely expressed more excitement than I did. I was so nervous, full of anxiety, and didn’t even want to be there. The thought of being a college student scared me. I felt the excitement she gave off, which helped me relieve the stress I had on that day. That was only one of the many experiences I had with
