Some say “she’s a woman who is said to be a child murderer from the west who may have also been a witch who was burned at the stake and comes back to seek her revenge” -(Urban Legend) But it may very well have been a “young woman who was extremely beautiful and gazed at herself for hours upon hours into a mirror. A young witch said to be jealous, disfigured her terribly. Mary then cast her own spell that would disfigure anyone who called upon her in the mirror.”- (Urban Legends) Or could it be that Bloody Mary refers to Queen Mary Tudor I of England, angry and upset at her 2 alleged miscarriages, who now seeks her revenge on anyone who calls upon her? But these are all just possibilities. Historically, Bloody Mary does in fact refer to Queen Mary I.
