Blink-182 Research Paper

My subject of choice is on my favorite band called Blink-182. I chose this artist because of the impact they had on my life as a teenager. Lets start off on who the band is and what they do. Blink-182 is a pop-punk band that was formed in 1992 and still plays music today; their members are Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker. When they formed in 1992 they sang songs of what life’s like as a teenager and the ordeals that teens go through. Their song “What’s my age again?” is about how getting older changes what your life’s like and what you can get away with, and there song “All The Small Things” was the depiction of love and not wanting to leave the one you love. One of the biggest impacts that Blink-182 had on me was in 2011 when one of my good friends, named Spencer committed
Well that sadness was with me for a while and the song that really got me through the breakup with “Don’t Leave Me.” When Blink-182 went on “indefinite hiatus” in February of 2005, I was heart broken. How could this awesome band just stop making magical music together? At a press conference the band stated it was because of arguments regarding their recording process and their future. It was a sad couple of years when all of a sudden in February of 2009 the band appeared together for the first time in over 5 years at the Grammy Awards. Stating that they we going to “start where they left off” left the world in shock with happiness. No one thought one of the most famous pop-punk bands in the world would be getting back together. As you can guess, when I found out they were getting back together I went crazy with happiness, my most favorite band in the whole world were going to be making more magical
