Another big difference is about Johnny's mom at the hospital. In the book, the nurse comes in and tells Johnny that his mom is here to see him, and he tells them he does not want to see her. And, as Dally and Ponyboy are leaving, it shows her yelling at the nurse about how she wants to see him.In the movie it only mentions his mom at the hospital, with the nurse coming in and and telling Johnny that his mom was there.Although it was a small detail, it was a big difference.…
The book and movie are completely different. It 's like comparing apples and oranges. (I 'm assuming that you used the newest version with Guy Pierce). The biggest difference is probably the ommision of Haydee and Maximillien and Valentine (three of the main character) and the addition of Jacapo. Jacapo does is in the book, but he is never a large character.…
Another big difference is that in the book the character is dying throughout the whole story and in the movie the character is working and is well and active. Another difference is that in the book most of the story takes place inside somewhere and in the movie most of the story takes place outside. Some similarities are that the characters are mostly the same and also the ending to both the book and the movie are the same.…
Both the book and the movie are very different, they have lots of similarities and differences. The Setting, Plot and Characterisation are three parts that the book and movie can be compared.…

There were three differences in the book and the movie. The book added in the rooster crowing in the background at the end when John was about to be taken to be hung which was very helpful because it showed some different symbols. A difference in the movie was that there were more girls at the beginning casting spells. It wasn't just Abigail and a few of her friends. The movie also includes that Reverend Hale beat Tituba into confessing that she was in the woods conjuring spirits with Abagail. These are a few of the differences I recognized in the movie and book.…
West Side Story In this musical, it uses several types of narratives, for example, after the fight between the Jets and Puerto Ricans, after the police leave, they enter the ally and the girl is begging to join the gang saying how much she wants to fight is a part of narrative sexuality (B 34). The girl is more of a tom boy who wants to be like one of the guys.…
One way that the movie differed from the book was the amount of flashbacks the father has of his wife. In the book the…
Overall there were many differences between the book and the movie. They followed the basic storyline. I think i would prefer the book. The book in my opinion shows some of the scenes better. The movie does show their moods better than the book could have. The movie does lack some of the Important details that made the book how it…
The Blind Side Formal Speech Alex CalinaThe Blind side is a not only a novel, but a movie based on the life of a young man named Michael Oher who was taken in by a family and turned into one of the most successful athletes in the history of the NFL. The movie has gotten many great reviews, because of its great acting and very deep story. “Is every extraordinary true story worth adapting to film? It seems as though we’ve heard everything before, especially when it comes to down-on-their-luck athletes defying the odds. Well, Michael Oher’s story is pretty much just that, so the success of The Blind Side will rest in your hands. Shun it and you’ll be wishing there was a defensive end ready to take advantage of your blind side and put you out…
Movie Review The Blind Side-October 13,2010 “The Blind Side” On November 20, 2009, a great movie was brought forth for the world to see! “The Blind Side” is a 2009 drama-sports film written and directed by John Lee Hancock. However, it is based on the 2006 book The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game by Michael Lewis. With the movie starring Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw, and Quinton Aaron, this movie became an instant hit in the box office. This two-hour and nine minute tear-jerker is a great family film. The Blind Side gives a clear depiction of Michael Oher’s upbringing to his rise to stardom.…
Most of the major parts did not change at all. T-Ray’s abuse on Lily by making her kneel on grits was the same. Also, the part where Rosaleen gets arrested for pouring tobacco juice on the three men doesn’t change. The most important part, about the connection between black Mary and Deborah, did not change one bit. The three sisters roles and meaningfulness of the roles did not change at all. Also, May dying stayed true to what the book presented it as. Zach getting arrested didn’t change, but the way in which it happened changed a bit. It was really cool to see how similar each significant part was in the story. Although every part wasn't exactly the same it didn’t change the overall view and what actually happened in the book. The plot of the story in the movie was spot on with the book and it helped that the characters stayed the same…
The major differences that I noticed between the book and the movie are: the mouse doesn't die at the end in the movie, and there is no real character in the nursing home that bugs Paul in the movie like there was in the book. A smaller detail that is different is that in the book Paul asks Coffey to tie his shoe and Coffey can't do it. This turned into a major point in the book because it went through how the dog was killed with meat and Coffey was carrying his lunch tied up, when he was found with the girls. The only way…
The Blind Side “The Blind Side” is a wonderful movie that touches your heart when watching it. A great real story that forces you to dig deep inside your soul. The movie demonstrates what Michael Oher had to overcome in order to achieve his goal of playing American football at a national level. The Tuohy gratefully took in Michael, who was a homeless boy. He was than enrolled into a Christian school and with the help from the teachers and the Tuohy family, Michael qualified to attend Ole Miss and play football. This story of love, family, and courage can be an inspiration to all that if we can reach out to others, it can change not only their lives, but ours as well.…
Blind Side In the film, Michael Oher was born and raised in the projects of Memphis, Tennessee. He grew up poor, not knowing his father, and was the son of a crack-addicted mother. Oher did not have a consistent place to live and sometimes stayed with his neighbors. He went along with his neighborhood friend and his father who wanted to enroll his son into a school with a good reputation, Wingate Christian School. While attending the school, he befriends S.J. Tuohy and later welcomed into the home of the upper-class family, the Tuohy’s, who cared and provided for him as if he were one of their own (Johnson & Hancock, 2009).…
