Abstract
The intent of this proposal is to list two types of information systems that would work well for our record store JWrecords, and their benefits and drawbacks. We will review the break down of the systems control programs and the secondary category of systems support programs and their role in our company. This is a good way to communicate with employees or customers if need be. The advantage of this system is that it is a multi taker. This system works as an organizer as well. It has a calendar, keeps track of your contacts and has a note pad for jotting down any information necessary. b. The draw back of this system is that there are free applications and systems like Gmail and yahoo which serve the same purpose, Also outlook can only be used with Microsoft programs. The upside is that it is versatile and has much functionality. 2.) Microsoft Quick Books is another program that will be beneficial to our establishment. This will help us pay our bills to vendors and do payroll. This system will make things easier for us especially when it comes to taxes and keeping tabs on our finances. c. The drawbacks of quick book there are upgrade fees that is possible to overlook due to the simplicity of the program. 3.) Microsoft word although simple very useful. We can use this application to write memorandums or a business proposal for future investors need be. d. The draw backs to this system are that it is prone to attacks. We would have to run Anti virus programs to avoid any

    Old Time Store will allow customers to find the music they have listened to and enjoyed for years. The store will have worldwide providers that focus on hard to find musical hits. Information systems will provide a way to transfer the critical information to place orders and in a format that is easy for each customer.     Microsoft Access is a system that allows users to manipulate large amounts of data. The different areas and features of Microsoft provide quick learning and easy to use software which can benefit both small and large business environments. The different parts that make up Access are queries, reports, tables, modules and macros. Queries allow the user to pull information from the given tables and calculate using the information filled into the table. Tables associated with Access are used to store data. Information on the tables can be entered on the forms and printer-ready information is displayed on the report portion of Access, These reports can also be exported to Microsoft Excel or Word. The automation of database tasks are done using macros. Modules are used for advanced programming within the database. Microsoft Access is beneficial in the work environment because it incorporates features that are also found in other Microsoft Office applications, the learning curve with Access is not steep at all it is a very easy system to operate. Because of wizards, it is easier to create a database in less than an hour. Another benefit of Access is that it allows the user to integrate large amounts of data not having to sacrifice performance of the system. Information that has already been made available can be transferred over to the Access program. Microsoft Access can e used for both small and large business environments.
