Throughout the 19th century, much of Deir el-medina was pilliaged by foreign travellers visiting the ancient site. A lot of the archaeological evidence that was dug up and collected was taken by two different pioneering Egyptologists; John Gardner and Karl Lepsius. This amazing archaeological site was first seriously excavated by Ernesto Schiaparelli between 1905-1909. He uncovered a seriously large amount of the ostraca we know of today. Shortly after, in 1922-1951, a french team led by Bernard Bruyere went through and excavated the ENTIRE site including the cemetary, dump and villiage. However, his team had little control and half of the ostraca and papyri that his team discovered was removed without his knowledge or aithorization.…

In the case of Egypt’s pyramid the pyramids truly hold the vault of questions towards multiple Anthropology subgenres, but the most prominent is Archaeology. One major question that is above them all, is how in a world of sticks and copper tools did they manage to build a monument that today with our technology we can not even begin to build? Josh Bernstein attempted to answer these questions by talking to multiple sources, Like John Vanhawken the man who believes that the dwellers who escaped the fate of Atlantis came and constructed these monuments for its people. While others like Zahi Hawass believe that the Egyptians did in fact create the pyramids. Zahi Hawass has strong evidence as they have uncovered multiple tombs, pharaohs inside as well as copper tools and his most important piece of evidence is in the fifth floor resides markings behind the stones that have initials and one of the groups that helped construct the amazing structures. But on the other hand John Vanhawken has evidence such as the structure size that we cannot build with todays technology, How they are aligned exactly with Orion stars suggest that no civilization was capable of such accuracy.…

In the middle of the desert there is a monument memorializing a civilization wrapped in mystery. For many years, archeologists have tried to decipher the origins of the Sphinx through analysis of whatever records that they could find and by studying the statue itself. Although it is easy to believe that the Sphinx was an Egyptian made wonder, researchers have found that the Egyptians may not have built the Sphinx. Instead, the Sphinx having been built by an earlier civilization, then found by the Egyptians and remodeled. Although the Sphinx sits among monuments built by the Egyptians, signs point to another origin.…

In the stories of Ancient Egypt there are many variations of how there world was shaped. In my paper I am going to go over the Gods and their stories, and their rule in Ancient Egypt. Ancient Egyptian theology dealt with hundreds of deities. They had a god for everything. The gods changed as the dynasties, and the importance of the gods changed depending on the ruler of the time. Egyptians worshipped their gods in temples , and each temple was dedicated to a specific god. In the temples a statue would stand in the center . Everyday Egyptian priests care for the statues of gods. They would clean them and dress them, offer the meals, before worshipping ceremonies would take place. (Budge, 1999 & 2003)…

The Pyramids at Giza remain one of the most amazing architectural works in history and the Great Pyramid stands as the last surviving wonder of the ancient world. The Great Pyramid is “the largest pyramid… [and] was until early twentieth century the biggest building on the planet” (Shaw). It is because of this reputation that the pyramids have gained that some people began to ask the question “Who built the pyramids?” There are many theories revolving around the construction of Egypt’s pyramids: two of which are that the Hebrews under the control of the pharaoh Khufu built the pyramids or that the pyramids were built by extra-terrestrial forces.…

This was the only proof that they giving more value and importance of the Pyramid and behind its historical place that found in Egypt. We know that its wondrous structure of the Great Pyramids of ancient Egypt was built as burial tombs for Egyptian royalty. Did you know who, what and how the pyramid formed? The Pyramids have been studied for centuries, by the greatest scholars, scientists, mathematicians, astronomers, historians, architects and physicists. According to some article that I read, no one knows how old the Pyramid. Peter Lemesurier states the following about historians in his book The Great Pyramid Decoded. "The sober truth is, of course, that no historian has yet advanced an explanation of the Great Pyramid’s construction that is convincing (p. 6)." This was so meticulous, right? That there are so many people studied the pyramid but we have not a clear idea about the Great Pyramid.…
