Rita Moreno
Rita Moreno is a Puerto Rican singer, actress and dancer. She is the only hispanic who have won an Oscar, a Grammy, a Tony and an Emmy. She was also the second Puerto Rican to win an Academy Award. She was born Rosita Dolores Alverío in Humacao, Puerto Rico on December 11, 1931. She had one husband, Leonard Gordon and they were married until his death in 2010, they had one child. Rita Moreno got her start on Broadway at the age of 13. Her most notable performance was her role of Anita in 1961 in the film version of the Broadway musical West Side Story. Rita Moreno appeared in many shows and movies such as The King and I , Singin' in the Rain and The Cosby Show, The Nanny and Law and Order. She has also received the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the National Medal of Art.

Luis Rafael Sanchez
Luis Rafael Sanchez is a Puerto Rican novelist, essayist and short-story author. He is considered Puerto Rico's bets contemporary playwright. His best known play is a tragedy called La Pasión según Antígona Pérez(The Passion of Antigona Perez). Dr. Luis Rafael Sanchez was born in 1936 in Humacao, Puerto Rico. He earned his college degrees at the University of Puerto Rico, City University of New York, and the Complutense University of Madrid. There have been numerous books written about him as well as his many other works completed by him. His pen name was Wico Sanchez.

I chose these two celebrities because I liked their names. I had never heard of either before this project. I think its very interesting that Rita Moreno was one of the few people ever to win an Oscar, a Grammy, a Tony and an Emmy. It surprised me that Luis Rafael Sanchez was actually Dr.Luis Rafael Sanchez.
