Billy Bishop’s path to greatness was not an easy one. He encountered many challenges throughout his young life, that recognized him as a fierce fighter and a true hero. Billy Bishop faced an incredibly tough time on achieving his dream: becoming Canada’s greatest ace. As a young man, he earned the reputation of a fighter, defending himself and others easily. This led him on entering the Royal Military College of Canada. Bishop was always keen to join the Royal Military but somehow he managed to finish the Royal Military College by cheating on his final exam and getting caught. He started of as an atypical soldier with dreams and ambitions. He realized the only way to get out of the monstrosities of the war was to fly. From being afraid of death to being a cold-blooded soldier, it is incredible to believe how much someone can change. He was recognized for his talents which caused him to be addicted to the fame. The fame led him back home with a post-traumatic stress disorder and alcoholism.
