Bill of Right Biggest Influence
In reviewing the Bill of Rights, discuss which amendment has the biggest influence on businesses. Give an example to support your answer.
The biggest influence on businesses in my opinion is the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964- The Employment Discrimination Section
Section 703. Unlawful Employment Practices. (a) It shall be an unlawful employment practice for an employer- to fail or refuse to hire or to discharge any individual, or otherwise to discriminate against any individual with respect to his compensation, terms, conditions, or privileges or employment, because of such individual’s race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. In my opinion if you qualify for the job based the requirement of the job and you are a good candidate you should be given a chance. If any employer hires based on what they feel personally about the candidate or how they look they would be breaking the law. I feel everyone should be given an equal opportunity.

From a manager’s point of view, tell what might happen if a manager does not know or understand the contents of Chapter 4. Explain the possible ramifications.
From a manager’s point of view, if they don’t understand or don’t know the contents of Chapter 4 this could be very damaging to the business. The U.S. Constitution gives the federal and state governments the power to regulate many business activities, but it also provides that certain rights cannot be taken away from individuals and organizations. A manager not willing to follow the law causes the business to loses money, have legal issues, and would act unconstitutional.

For starters, when it came to the interviewing process, there were 5 white officials and 1 black which showed that the room was not balance. Next, when it came to the scoring, he received lower scores than the whites. The next issue that showed discrimination was when it came to the attendance record of the workers. Two of the workers who were Caucasian, had the same attendance as Dunlap, and they received a better ranking. Also, Dunlap had a perfect safety record and received a score of a 4; while a white applicant who was at the job for eleven, had 2 accidents within those years and received a score of…

This company should hire people based on things like their level of experience and skill, and whether they have the aspects necessary for that position. The hiring process should not be based on the person 's racial or ethnic background, or whether they are a male or a female. People should be comfortable enough that when they apply for a position within your company they do not worry about whether or not they are being discriminated against. All that should matter is that they have the skills necessary to do the job to the best of their ability. Not whether or not they are the proper gender or if they are the right…
